Morning, happy Sunday ☀️This is my favourite part of the day, sitting downstairs having a coffee nice and peaceful. Mr SA and the dog are fast asleep, the cat has been fed and gone outside. Bliss.Today will be NSD1 of May. It will be an expensive month as the bedroom refurb starts in a couple of weeks but all budgeted for.No plans to trek all over today. Will just take the dog on the park across the road. I want to paint the fence at the bottom of the garden blue to match the seat. I’ve ordered some ornamental fishing nets to drape over the fence, to give that area a beach theme. The garden is so big I’m having to break it down into separate areas to tackle otherwise it would be overwhelming.Making a pizza for tonight’s dinner, will make a change from Sunday dinner type food.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

When my kids were at home people used to say to me I bet you hate working Saturdays but I used to love getting up having my breakfast and a cuppa in peace no rushing around getting breakfast for everyone sorting out school things it was heaven I know what you mean about the garden mine is huge 3 large patios 3 raised beds a greenhouse and a huge lawn as well as seating areas with plants and slate areas I will miss it when or should I say if I move6

I'm glad you got to enjoy a peaceful start to the day.
yourstep count amazes me - I never get anywhere near your numbers. I downloaded a fitness app yesterday and I've actually done the morning meditation and given serious thought to the 8 minute stretch 😅I'm not sure that thinking about exercise and watching my "personal trainer" counts!
enjoy the rest of your day.6 -
I painted all of the fence at the bottom of the garden blue. Was hard work but worth it in the end. When the sun was out it was very warm but when it went in it was cool. At least we had no rain although tomorrow is forecast to be wet. I have to say the Wilko own brand outdoor wood paint is brilliant, have painted loads with one tin and still plenty left.
@Blackcats I used to do a lot more steps when I was physically in the office and walking to and from work, 3 miles each way. Now I’m breaking it down into 5,000 before work, 5,000 before I start back after lunch and another 5,000 by the end of the day, adds up to 15,000 minimum. That’s the aim anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Bet the fence is fab.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday 🥳
Weather is meant to be rubbish today so will just be taking the dog on the park across the road and catching up on cleaning tasks. Once I’ve got all my jobs done I’m going to give myself a manicure and pedicure then watch Rocketman.Mr SA is going to ring the doctors about his back tomorrow, it’s still really bad.Aiming for NSD2 today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Enjoy Rocketman....My dh is a big fan of Elton - I quite like him myself- we’ve been to see him a couple of times. I wanted thickets for his last tour - but the prices of ticket 😲😲😲not a chance.
Hoepfully the doc will give dh something to help his back.January spends - £587.585 -
Your blue fence sounds lovely 😃 . I'm very envious of your big garden, I suppose it does make for more work but it must be worth it for so much outdoor space. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well I managed NSD2, the dog has been on the park twice and I’ve cleaned up. Gave myself a manicure and pedicure whilst watching Rocketman. I enjoyed the film, not as much as Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was good. I don’t watch that many films as I struggle to stay awake if I sit down for too long and I also have a really short attention span but I stayed awake 🥳
How dire is the weather 🌧💨🥶
Back to work tomorrow for 4 days then break up on Friday for 6 days off 🥂 I’ve got a meeting on the Friday so working for just one day. The skip is coming next Monday so might be glad of a day sitting at my desk after 4 days clearing the bedroom. Also got Covid jab number 2 next Tuesday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
