Happy Saturday, happy May 🥳
Mr SA woke me up at 1am to let the dog out. I wasn’t best pleased as I was sound asleep 😴 His back has been hurting all night and the pain is making him feel ill.Have been to the big Mr Ts this morning to take advantage of the 25% off wine. Bought 12 bottles which should last me a while in theory 🤣 Then I came back home, dropped off the shopping and went to Savers to stock up with household items for the month. Bought 5 books for £1 from the charity shop too. I’m all shopped out now.
DS and the GKs are visiting this afternoon. I’m going to take advantage and get DS to move a few heavy things in the garden I couldn’t move yesterday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Loving the garden. You’ve been putting stones down - I’ve been gathering slate chippings up and dh moving them to the back garden. We need to alter the front for the arrival of the motorhome. There were bags and bags of chippings put down - I’ve not intention of throwing them out 😳

dawnybabes said:Kidney infection ?.I’m shattered again. DIL didn’t like the colour of her hair from last week so was having it redone. 5 hours DS and the GKs were here 😱 The GKs didn’t bring anything with them to keep them occupied and were bored, running rampant around the house. I’ve got a few toys here but not enough to occupy them for 5 hours. I didn’t know they were coming before lunch so didn’t get anything in. The GKs were hungry and didn’t want anything I’d got. They wasted the food I gave them.I’m afraid I broke Covid rules and let DS sit in the house because it wasn’t warm enough to sit outside. We did keep a social distance though. I just thought do you know what I’m allowed workmen in the house, stuff it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I can understand why you let ds in....it’s very hard.
Fancy them not bringing anything to play with knowing how long they would be.....
Hope Mr SA feels better soon.January spends - £587.584 -
I would have let DS in as well I’m afraid my grand children won’t eat anything in here it drives me mad and they waste a lot of food4

That’s what I thought. Particularly with his dad being the way he is. The woman across the road has several visitors every day and has done so throughout Covid.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I'd have let them in too S_A. If you're caring for someone you're allowed in so if you and his dad need help then it's OK if you think it's safe. I've been visiting my friend daily. She had a stroke and a heart attack last summer and her short term memory isn't great. I have had to help her with cleaning, shopping, arranging doctor's appontments (she couldn't work the online system) and filling out forms for benefits. My job is a carer so I'm vaccinated and I also do regular lateral flow tests. My friend is in more danger on her own than if I call so what can you do?7
