I would be disapointed on the cheesecake too

My elderly parents get lots of scam calls on their landline. They are quite savvy but do sometimes get anxious. I really don't know how these people can live with themselves - imagine getting up and going to work every day with the sole aim of stealing from other people.
like Warby though I'm apparently due a lot of money from my Bitcoin investments according to "Ukrainian beauty" who has been urgently emailing me.4 -
We used to get lots of scam calls until i got my phone providers intercept thing. Sorry no idea what its called. Now any number that isnt on our list has to announce who they are and we can accept or deny the call. We havent had any since. However I do get occasional ones on my mobile but I just tell anyone i dont know to go away ( not very politely).

Morning, happy hump day
I've been to Mr Ts again this morning to get Mr SA a lemon cheesecake for his birthday. Was hard to find one that we both would like. I'm not a massive cake fan and am really fussy about flavours, don't like anything sickly whereas Mr SA likes the sicklier the better 😆
So exercise wise I've already done 8,000 steps to start off the day. Will be taking the dog on the park for a run later and do some abs exercises after work. Cleaning is the bathroom.
Tonight's dinner is slow cooker lentil stew with herb dumplings, one of my favourites, so tasty - recipe is here. I make the dumplings from yoghurt, flour, herbs and a bit of grated cheese though. I also swap the red wine for one of those red wine stockpots. I'm having a bit of a lentil day today because I made some red lentil soup yesterday for lunch.
Anyway best get on, got a busy morning. Have a good one.

I had a call from BG wanting to bring the boiler service to today as the engineer was in the area so I said yes. Anyway it’s done now and took him next to no time. He said it’s one of the easiest boilers he’s ever had to service. After all that faff with the Hive installation. He could smell my lentil stew cooking and it was making him feel hungry 😆Mr SA has enjoyed his birthday despite not being able to go anywhere. Hopefully this time next year we’ll be back in Lanzarote to celebrate it 🙏🤞
The lemon cheesecake is lovely by the way, really tangy and not sickly, went down well with a coffee this morning 😋
Mr SA has received a cheque from Motability for £100 on termination of his old scooter contract. The worst thing they could’ve put in the letter was ‘you’re free to spend it as you wish’. The difference between him and me is I ploughed the majority of my bonus and back pay into the bedroom savings pot, he wants to blow this £100 on shorts and t-shirts for himself 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Happy birthday to Mr SA can you talk him into saving it for next year’s holidays or is he determined to spend it5

He knows I won’t go non essential shopping at the moment so hopefully he’ll forget about it. I reminded him the cost of his scooter has gone up by around £8 a month so the £100 will cover the first year. Despite the brain damage he hasn’t changed at all regarding spending. When he was working he wanted to spend every penny whether we had the money spare or not. I’ve got a lot more control over the situation now thank goodness.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
