Sorry to hear of what must have been a very stressful day.
I hope he's okay, perhaps he falls limply hence bones take less of a bashing? I also hope yours and DD's backs are okay. (Can't think how to put that grammatically, sorry).
If I were you I'd be saving some packaging from his favourite retailer ready for the next request that he already has multiples of.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning, happy Saturday 🥂
Mr SA is very battered this morning and covered in bruises. He’s a blooming liability 🙄
DIL and DGD are having their hair done at my hairdressers this morning. DIL will be there 4 hours so I’m picking up DGD and looking after her once her hair is done. I couldn’t sit for 4 hours in the hairdressers an hour is enough for me. DS has decided to stay home with DGS.Going to the builders merchants when they open to order more pebbles. Need to pick up some bread and a paper. Will take the dog with us so she’ll get a good walk before DGD arrives.Having veggie burger, salad and wedges tonight. Prosecco is chilling already 🍾
Have a fabulous day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Sorry about Mr SA's fall. Why oh why won't he use walking aids? Too proud I suppose 🙄 .
I couldn't spend four hours in a hairdresser either 😳 , life is too short for that!

DGD was a doddle to look after today. She’s almost 7 so is just chatty and happy to sit drawing. Pebbles have been ordered for delivery. Mr SA has been to the local charity shop and come back with a Zimmer frame for £6.99. He plans to keep it upstairs for when he wants to go to the toilet during the night. I think a lot of it is he thinks he’s too young to use walking aids at 55 but what he doesn’t think about is that you can be disabled at any age. Drives me nuts anyway 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

SA I really feel for you. My sister is brain damaged after being knocked down by a car on a pedestrian crossing on green. I saw her yesterday in my garden for the first time in nearly a year and I cannot believe how much she has aged and diminished. She doesn't have falls but she has no sense of taste or smell and eats things she remembers she liked before the accident. Unfortunately these are chocolate and cheese and fruit smoothies with the highest sugar content.
She is obsessed with calories and although she has no appetite she religiously eats the 'right' amount of calories every day. But because there is very little nutrition in what she eats her legs have got thinner and thinner but her tummy area and top half are very overweight making her so top heavy she is bowed over. She walks like a much older person as her legs are so weak. Partially down to less time outside and less activity during lockdowns but mainly diet related.
I do try to help but due to the brain damage anything I say is a 'fad' diet. I have never been on a diet in my life but do watch sugar and carb intake. It is heartbreaking6 -
That is so scary @Paspatur as I was knocked down by a car on a pedestrian crossing just over a year ago. Thankfully I only suffered a broken leg and needed stitches in my head, apart from that nothing serious, it could’ve been so much worse. It’s hard to live with someone with a brain injury, you think they’re normal then they come out with something really odd. Mr SA is 5 years younger than me but he has been mistaken for my dad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

My sister is less than 2 years older than me but the difference now looks so much more. My sister was telling my other half stories yesterday about when we were younger which are either not true or if true not in chronological order. I used to pull her up about these stories but I now just let it wash over me. But it hurts a lot.6
