You have my sympathy with the ivy. When we bought our last house one side of it was covered in it. Our first job was ripping it off. The number of huge spiders in there was unbelievable.
Never again!4 -

We have four things grow extremely well in our garden ivy, holly, anemones and buttercups. Not sure if that says something about the type of soil. I know buttercups are weeds but I feel loathe to pull them up as they look so cheerful.Have been transported back to childhood in the bath. Listening to Radio 1 chart show. Reminded me of listening to the charts in the bath on a Sunday when I was a kid. My dear mum, bless her, used to have to listen to the charts on Tuesday lunchtimes and write them all down for me while I was at school. Woe betide if she missed one out 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Happy Monday
Have been for a short run this morning before starting work, lovely sunny morning but cold and frosty. Will take the dog out for a park run at lunchtime then do some yoga after work. Mr SA has just gone over to the park with the dog for her first trip of the day.
Cleaning is living room day today. Tonight's dinner is aubergine curry and cauliflower rice from freezer stocks. Today will be NSD 6 of April. On a mission this week to achieve a low spend week.

Instead of going on the park this lunchtime with the dog, went for a walk to the local high street to see what was happening with the shops, bars and cafes opening up. Was fairly busy but not that bad. Some places not opening until 17 May. Lovely day but too cold to be sitting outside. It’s not as if we’ve been banned from drinking alcohol at home. Pleased the local businesses got some support though.Mr SA and the dog have been out in the garden all afternoon pottering about. A tad annoyed with Mr SA this morning as I was in a meeting taking minutes and he shuffled in noisily muttering about trading up his scooter. Thankfully I’d put myself on mute but had to wave him away as the meeting was quite technical in nature and I really needed to concentrate 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I agree it’s to cold to sit outside but it is nice to see places with a bit of life in them mr SA is a handful but then again my hubby is the same it doesn’t matter what I’m doing he thinks everything must stop for him he must have everyone’s undivided attention 😂4

In one of the earlier lockdowns when we had 4 of us all WFH or studying I made 'Do Not Disturb' signs for our doors for when we really didn't want interrupting. Family laughed at first but then all of a sudden they got used quite a bit.
I'm guessing Mr SA would assume it didn't mean him though5 -
I could work from the spare room but would feel too isolated plus it’s full of gym equipment so would be a bit cramped. I work in the dining room, Mr SA spends a lot of time in the living room watching TV thankfully but shuffles through to get to the kitchen or back garden.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
