I think because of the pandemic there’s been a big focus on wellbeing and mental health. I’ve done a few bits and bobs, nothing that fantastic, but I think my name must’ve come up somewhere. Such a shame it’s only a virtual ceremony as it’s usually a good night with champagne and suchlike 🍾I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

It would be nice if they'd deliver the champers.
Perhaps you could treat yourself?
I'm sure all your bits and bobs have added up, it's often the small things that make a difference, isn't it?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Bit late in the day but happy Saturday 🥳
I was still running Hairy but on a treadmill during winter, now the mornings are light I’m back to running outside which I prefer, unless it’s raining then it’s the treadmill.
Have been to the local shops then took the dog for a long walk. Relaxing with my feet up now learning some Spanish and reading my book.Tonight’s dinner is spicy bean burger, potato wedges and salad. Mr SA’s burger will be beef though, none of that veggie rubbish for him 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Mr RS only realised this morning that his bacon sandwich this morning was the first meat he had eaten for a couple of days 🤣🤣🤣6

Happy Sunday
Have had a busy morning gardening as the weather was so nice. Managed to fill the garden waste bin which is being picked up on Tuesday. Got to get my £36.00 a years' worth out of it 😆 Have tidied up the garden as far as the pond anyway and dug up a tree that randomly sprouted up last year and grew about 12 feet in one season. It was too close to the house so had to go plus it looked really odd a huge tree in the middle of a flower bed. It was hard work but I eventually got the roots up, Mr SA was no help whatsoever, watching me and worrying about me wielding an axe. The dog has been running about in the garden all morning and has also been for a run on the park so she's asleep in her basket now.
The council tax bill arrived yesterday, I'd been dreading it as had seen on various other threads bills going up by a lot. It's gone up by £5 a month which isn't as bad as I'd feared. Our local council have been throwing money around left, right and centre just recently on various projects, it's not a cheap council area to live in at the best of times, so I was dreading getting the bill.

Finances looking good.Gardening story reminds me about something wife did not long after we moved to current res home. She decided she was getting rid of this tree it wasn’t massive but big enough and ok to fell. One day decided she was fed up waiting for me getting the gardener organised so she did it herself. All fine except for the picture I get through in the middle of the day - tree more in neighbour’s garden than ours. You can probably guess who had to go round and ask if I could have my tree back lol. Laugh now but !!!!!! livid at the time. Used to walk by next door and lust after that place ha !!!!!! embarrassing.7
