I threw all my old makeup mid week and gave a bag of bath bombs to my friend along with my clothes I can’t wear anymore. She was over the moon with them. I now only own 1 mascara, lipstick and foundation 😲A drawer or cupboard at a time is the way to go 👍January spends - £587.585

I have a full box of mascaras and don’t even ask how many lipsticks 😱
Apparently Mr SA got me mixed up with Cat Deeley 🤔🤷♀️ which sort of explains the GMTV thing (SMTV?) We were watching Saturday Night Takeaway at the time. Oh the joys of living with someone with a brain injury 🤣🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Hope Mr SA is ok. At least he got you mixed up with somebody nice......could have been so much worse 😳January spends - £587.584

The brain is strange and wonderful even without adding the variables of injury... I hope it's just a one-off. At least he hasn't asked you for a tour of the studio.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I get used to his random ramblings, some of them are quite amusing. It’s just when he comes out with something random when other people are there it gets a bit embarrassing, especially strangers. When he was in hospital and his brain was recovering he saw rats running around everywhere. One incident still makes me smile - his brother and wife were visiting him and we were sitting round his bed just talking normally. All of a sudden he very seriously asked his SIL to shake the basket on the blood pressure trolley because there were 3 rats running around inside it. She shook it 🤣🤣🤣 He’s still adamant there were rats all over in the hospital.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I hallucinate on morphine. The first time I saw my husband wearing his grandmothers pink flowery overall and the second it was near Christmas and the ward I was on has a fibre optic tree with lights that faded off and on and I could also see it spiralling up towards the ceiling. Even at the time I knew it wasnt real but was really weird.

Morning, happy Sunday and happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there 😁
Have got some nice cards and presents from DS and DD, lovely flowers from DD and a pamper box from DS. Mr SA wrote me a card out from the dog, it's actually a card from my birthday card collection that just says best wishes on it. He wanted to go out and buy one and some flowers but I stopped him.
I think the dog is a bit off colour today, she's not interested in food or going on the park at the moment. I thought we were doing well as it's been over a week since her last off tummy day.
Finances are done. Totted up a rough estimate of what the bedroom will cost altogether including everything from a new bed down to a new lampshade and can probably add another £3k on top of the other work! Going to throw all spare money at this project to get it done and dusted by summer. Had a small underspend of £9.81 this week which has gone to the Christmas pot, would have been £29.81 if I hadn't gone in Wilkos yesterday - hey ho.
Scores on the doors w/e 14 March:
Windows £5429.58
Mortgage £15,176.83
Remortgage £7346.70
Credit card £0
Emergency Fund £5400.00
Christmas £194.81
Bedroom £2800.00
Holidays £1350.00
Regular Saver £2250.00
Windows payments March to June £621.68
Today will be NSD 5 of March. No plans to go anywhere today. If the dog feels up to it later I'll take her on the park, not going to make her walk miles if she doesn't feel like it.
Not sure what I'm making for tonight's dinner but it will involve butternut squash because I've got two. Mr SA is having roast beef with all the trimmings. Need to do a meal plan for the week ahead.
Can't really do any more bedroom decluttering until the skip arrives. We'll need to empty and dismantle the two wardrobes but I'm keeping the chest of drawers and dressing table to store things in the spare room/gym. We can put the clothes we need for what will most likely turn out to be a month in the drawers. Anyway that's a job for mid-May.

My BIL had an aneurism several years ago and had pressure on his brain which confused him. In the hospital the doctor asked him where he was and he replied "The airport?" which was funny because he was in a hospital room surrounded by doctors, nurses and medical equipment 😂. He also told the nurse he was 32 when he was really 54 😂. My BIL had a good laugh about it when he eventually recovered.
Have a lovely mother's day SA 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Your BIL was extremely lucky his aneurysm was caught in time. Mr SA doesn’t believe me when I tell him the things he came out with in hospital, although he still talks about the family of cats that lived on the hospital roof 😆
The dog has made me out to be a liar and has had a good run on the park followed by some lunch.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Yes my BIL was very lucky that my sister was with him when he collapsed and was able to call an ambulance straight away. He had to have a stent put in his head in the end to stop the fluid build up that was confusing him. It gave him an extra six years before he got the lung cancer.
