I gave the patio doors a good clean so they’re back to normal now. Spoke to DS tonight, not heard from him for a couple of weeks. Mr SA used to phone him every night but hasn’t done recently. Hopefully we’ll be able to meet up in a local park or in the garden soon. Not seen the GKs since the brief glimpse on Christmas Eve when they came to pick up the presents. I wish they lived closer. The dog got in my bath after me, she came scratching on the door to be let in. Knew she would as I’d treated myself to the Molton Brown bubbles tonight, she likes a bit of Molton Brown 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Morning, happy Friday 🎉👏
I was going to walk down to the big Mr T this morning to return a muffin tin I bought last week thinking it would fit in my Ninja oven but it's slightly too big. Then it started raining, so that idea was scrapped, might try tomorrow morning.
Today will finally be another NSD number 4 of the month. DD gets paid today so her board is in the bank, will put most of it towards the bedroom refurb, it usually goes in the holiday pot but throwing everything at the bedroom now I've got a start date.
Exercise will be walking the dog, abs and arms and either a treadmill run or cardio HIIT after work. Tonight's dinner is garlic and herb crusted fish with new potatoes and lots of veg. Mr SA is having his usual Friday fish, chips and mushy peas. Cleaning is the gym/spare room - need to get rid of some mirrors in there to free up space before we start moving the contents of our bedroom into it. I'll put them on the local FB group as freebies as they're too good to put in the skip.
Really must make a start on the decluttering this weekend. I've pencilled in leave for the week before the refurb, no important meetings that week so it's an ideal time to take a week off. It's also the week I get my second Covid jab so I was taking the following day off anyway in case I feel rough again.

It really is rubbish not seeing the gks. We have pencilled a day in to meet half way between us over The Easter holiday when we can meet outside but it won’t be decided until the day before when we see the weather forecast.
Your bedroom refurb is very exciting- pleased you have a week off beforehand.January spends - £587.586 -
Morning all, happy Saturday 🍾💃
The weather is dire this morning. Went down to the big Mr T to return the muffin tin then pick up a few bits. Then I decided as I was in the vicinity to nip to Wilko for the outdoor doormat I forgot to add to my online order. Walked back up the hills with two heavy bags in the wind and rain. Got home soaked but on the plus side have already done 10,000 steps and 37 flights of stairs.I think the dog will have to make do with short trips to the park across the road in between downpours today.
Making a pizza with wedges and salad for tonight’s dinner. Prosecco is chilling in the fridge 🥂 Going to do some decluttering in the bedroom today, if I keep chipping away it won’t seem so daunting.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Well done for actually going out this morning. The weather has been rubbish.
It has stopped raining here and the sun is poking through the cloud so we might grab the chance to take the dog out shortly.4 -
The decluttering is depressing me. I have so much stuff. Discovered several boxes full of unopened cosmetics, feel like just tipping the lot in a charity bag but then I started sorting through and thinking maybe I’ll use this at some point. I need to be ruthless don’t I. Just had a quick peep on eBay and some of the items are being sold on there for £8 plus each. Mmm...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Another option for unwanted cosmetics might be to see if a women's shelter might take them. Would probably have to be quarantined but that's only 72 hours.
I discover stuff I'd forgotten, too. We have a box of bits waiting to go to charity.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Well done on walking in the bad weather. De-cluttering is daunting so I find it's best to chip away at it rather than do too much in one session.
You must be looking forward to the bedroom refurb.

I always find decluttering quite satisfying. We don't tend to hoard stuff though so never really have loads of stuff to go through.
Well I say that but we do seem to have a lot of boat stuff to sell. Keep finding more 🤣🤣🤣5
