Happy hump day
Thanks everyone for the good wishes. I've got a whole week of watching him sit there with a long face until next Wednesday, he just gets himself worked up into a state. At least I no longer have to go in the scanner room with him and hold his legs down, what a nightmare that used to be!
The squatting to the kettle wouldn't be much good to me as I have two coffees in the morning (and they're from a coffee machine) then just drink water for the rest of the day. I have a cut off point where I can no longer drink coffee and it's about 10am, can't drink hot drinks after that, I don't know why it's just a weird quirk of mine.
Today will be NSD 1 of March, finally got one in 😁 Exercise is PE with Joe. dog walking and a treadmill run after work. Cleaning is the bathroom. Tonight's dinner is veg chilli from freezer stocks and sweet potato wedges.
Managed to get myself into more or less back to back meetings at work today so will be a busy one.

I can still hear a scratching noise coming from behind my gas fire. I think a bird has fallen down the chimney. It’s been there since the weekend. No idea what to do, Mr SA is hassling me to death about it. I’ve put a message out on a couple of local FB groups. I don’t know if it’s a chimney sweep I need. Why is there always something 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I have no real idea of what you should do, but I think I would probably try to get in touch with the RSPCA & ask for their advice. They must have come across things like that often.

I don’t know what to suggest - I think maybe phone a chimney sweep to see what they say.
Well done on the NSD. I start off really well recording them then loose count 😂😂January spends - £587.584 -
I’ve got a gas fitter ringing me in a bit he’s quoted £40 plus VAT. He’ll have to take the front of the fire off I expect. The noise is getting deafening sounds like a blooming eagle in there! No doubt it’s a crow or wood pigeon as we have so many of them round here. What I don’t want to happen is it to die and rot 🤢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

So not a no spend day after all. One very lucky wood pigeon rescued from the back of my gas fire and £48 lighter in the bank. The pigeon flew off straight away so not hurt. The fireplace bloke was really nice and will keep his number for future reference as we will be needing a new gas fire when we refurb the living room. He reckons he gets about 10 call outs a year for the same thing. Another job of course will be to get some sort of mesh over the chimney pot. What a day - I feel a gin coming on.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Wood pigeons are the doziest bird alive I think. We often here them flapping around on our gutters while we are laid in bed.
We have a pair that would plod around in our garden last summer eyeing up the dog through the closed patio doors. One day the doors were open!!3 -
