Our dog is very grumpy on the lead and will growl. We do warn people but most take no notice and let their dogs run up to him anyway.
Off the lead he is a different story and wants to play with everyone. He just hates being approached on the lead.

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
Been up since 6am. I’ve been thinking about the next house jobs. It’ll have to be the electrics and plastering next. I’d like fitted wardrobes in the bedroom, they would be fabulous, lots of storage space, I know it won’t be cheap, although there are quite a few local joiners who do this sort of thing. Anyway first things first and I need to get a decent amount of money in the pot before I go any further. I’m just itching to make a start. Also need to seriously declutter as the old wardrobes and drawers will need dismantling and contents storing elsewhere, so the less stuff the better.
Exercise today is dog walking and HIIT cardio and core. Need to finish the cleaning, didn’t get that far yesterday as DD decided to spring clean her room and disappeared with the cleaning stuff for the best part of the day. Making a pizza from scratch for tonight’s dinner.
I need to nip to the local shops for a couple of things but it will be a low spend day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
Many dogs are more reactive on the lead than off. I think the experts say this is because they know they cant get away if another dogs attacks. Certainly 2 of ours will react badly sometimes if other dogs come too near when on the lead. The third is just plain scared but is fine as long as bouncy dogs dont approach her. She will sometimes snap if they do - never made contact but the potential is there so we have to be careful. With regard to the number of badly behaved dogs yes I think lock down have increased the population of new dog owners who really dont know what they are doing. I fear there will be many dogs rehomed at some point and unless someone is prepared to spend time with them they will end up being put to sleep or become boomerang dogs who bounce from home to home.6

I don't have a dog but I do like dogs but I've noticed the increase in dog walkers over lockdown. I think many people have bought dogs as a new hobby without really thinking through the responsibility that comes with ownership. There are clusters of people I see when I go for a walk who seem to put more effort into buying cute doggie clothes rather than training the dog. The owners stand around chatting whilst the dogs run amok and the owners don't give a hoot if their dog is barking/snarling or crashing into people. It's easy to spot the experienced / responsible dog owners and to be fair there are newer owners who are taking it seriously too,7

I couldn't agree more, Blackcats. I don't have a dog either and I haven't been out much during lockdown but I can see from my window a big and steady increase in the number of people walking dogs. I think a lot of them see them as fashion accessories and like ladyholly I worry about what will happen to the dogs when the novelty wears off and they realise the full responsibility of looking after any animal.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7

I’ve never won anything significant on the lottery or been successful in any competitions I’ve entered but I’ve been chosen at random to be part of a COVID study 🤔 As much as I’d like to help with research I really don’t fancy sticking a swab up my nose and down my throat unless I really have to 🤢 Not sure what to do at the moment although veering towards sticking the letter in the shredder.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
