Your new windows and door look lovely SA and I bet the house will be much warmer 🙂. I'd love to get ours done one day. I hope the dog feels better soon.
There were a lot of badly trained dogs around even before the lock down. I used to go for a daily walk in my local park and dogs would rush up to me and jump up at me with muddy paws, or bark aggressively and the owners would always say "They only want to play" 😡. Once a big dog jumped up at me from behind and nearly knocked me off my feet 😡. I glared at the owner and they did at least apologise. I like dogs but I find out of control dogs very annoying and it's always the owners fault. Rant over 🙂.
Good luck with promotion SA. You'd be an ideal candidate as your employer clearly rate you highly and the extra money would be useful 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Morning, happy Sunday, happy last day of January 😎
Been up since 6am, the dog wanted to go out and I was wide awake so stayed up, she went back to bed. I've been quite productive and have done the finances and finished the book I was reading. Going to take the dog for a long walk shortly as the weather is dry but very cold. Tonight's dinner is defrosting, chestnut roast for me and steak for Mr SA.
Today will be NSD 16, which is definitely a record for me. Had a £39.29 underspend this week, £9.29 has gone to the Christmas pot and £30 to the remortgage overpayment pot.
Totals as they stand today (will change tomorrow):
Windows/door (3 years 0% interest free credit) £5585 - no plans to overpay this, the money is coming out of my Regular Saver account, don't want to add the monthly repayments to bills. First payment comes out at the end of February, have stashed away the February to June repayments in savings. Then when my Regular Saver matures at the end of June I'll stash another 12 months repayments away.
Mortgage £15,611.51 - 5 year fixed rate ends next July and I plan to reduce the term to 2 years at that point
Remortgage £7728.92 - plan to have this repaid in full when the 5 year fixed rate ends next July. I can overpay by £1500 a year.
Emergency Fund £5200.00
Holidays £1200.00
Money for remortgage overpayment £1250.00 (might wait until I've got the full £1500 before I send this over)
Money for windows repayments February to June £777.10
Regular Saver £1750.00
House £1000.00 (for bedroom/living room renovations)
Christmas £86.89
No credit card debt. Paid off the balance this morning, always pay it in full. There is £11.85 pending but this will be paid off as soon as it clears.
Last week of 4 week budget period starts tomorrow, it's gone by really fast.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
Morning, happy February
Monthly payments that go out on the 1st of the month have all gone out, so have updates to totals.
Today will be NSD 1 of February, was really pleased with 16 for January, don't think I'll smash that record this month though. Today's cleaning task is kitchen and bathroom. Exercise is PE with Joe and a 5k treadmill run after work, plus dog walking. Making some chilli bean soup for lunch for the next few days and tonight I'm making Bombay sweet potato and cod traybake (trying a new recipe).
Totals:
Windows £5585.00
Mortgage £15,394.17 (£217.34 paid today)
Remortgage £7,537.81 (£191.11 paid today)
Emergency Fund £5200.00
Christmas £86.89
House £1000.00
Regular Saver £2000.00 (£250 added today)
Windows payments February to June £777.10
Remortgage overpayment £1250.00
Let's see what February brings...

Just been over to the park with the dog and the weather is glorious, almost spring-like. I'm pleased and very relieved to report she's now back to normal following her recent bout of tummy issues, I really thought I was going to end up taking her to the vet.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Same here. Took the dog out in the sunshine at lunchtime and it was lovely. He really enjoyed himself.
Glad your dog is ok again SA. It is a worry when they are a bit off colour.6 -
It is miserable here. Grey, damp and drizzly. I have my granddaughters to entertain and home school today so we have been doing exercises, dancing and chasing each other round the house to burn off some of their limitless energy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. my wee doggy isn’t very sociable she thinks she’s a Rottweiler but she’s only a pug, barks at every other dog and tries to hid if any of them come near her bless her.
