Mr N always knew when I was coming home
He is a bit confused this morning because I have not got the PC out 🤣🤣🤣6 -
Morning all, happy Tuesday 🎄
The dog is pretty good at guessing the time. Every day at 1pm she starts hassling me to take her on the park, even if she's just been out and even though the GKs (in normal times) only visit once a fortnight she seems to know which day they're coming and stands looking out of the window.
Feel back to normal today, thankfully it doesn't happen very often.
Mr M delivery coming shortly, dreading what might be missing/subbed. Will probably go to Aldi late afternoon to get whatever's missing and a few other bits, it might not bit as busy around 4pm. I think the supermarkets might be busy first thing. DIL was going to Asda at 5am this morning. Then that will be it shopping wise.
Today's exercise will be a core workout, taking the dog out at lunchtime and walking to Aldi and back after work. Cleaning is the bathroom and tonight's dinner is bean and lentil chilli from freezer stocks with wedges.
I won't be getting a gin advent calendar again. I only really drink gin at the weekend and haven't always fancied one in the week so I've got a gin backlog at the moment. There were quite a few gin liqueurs which I'm not keen on, 3 of which I've given to DIL. It wasn't worth the money especially when you can get a gin bundle from Drop Store for £48 with 3 full bottles of good gin, a case of Fever Tree tonic water and a gin glass. That's what I'll be getting next year - have made a note on my Christmas spreadsheet so I don't forget 😆
Only one more work get up to go, should be a fairly relaxed couple of days.
Have a good one x

Well Mr M have excelled themselves this week with missing items/subs 10 items!! Some have been subbed with acceptable things but very disappointed that they've swapped a pizza margherita for a hoisin pork pizza - really!! And I can't believe they don't have any lettuce at all in the shop, not subbed that one! So off to Aldi it is.
On a better note, I get paid on New Year's Eve and am £47 better off this month thanks to applying for the WFH tax allowance, thanks to @RelievedSheff for giving me a nudge to do that 👍

It was on the news about a lettuce shortage - to do with the transport problems.
I bought some gin crackers this year for stockings and the table - very pretty for the price. Might be a nice treat instead of the advent. I got boxes 6 Whitley Neill for £19 and 4 Sipsmith for £12.
Good luck with the real life shopping6 -
I have managed to drop a bottle of sloe gin all over the kitchen floor this morning 😲
It went everywhere!6 -
The prescription saga has recommenced. Our local chemists rang me to query why I'd moved Mr SA's prescription, saying they didn't want to lose the custom. Told them about the unacceptable waiting times, standing outside in the cold, the prescription never being ready etc. So they offered to deliver it if I'd go back to them. Can you believe they delivered it an hour later so Mr SA now has 3 lots of medication - at least he won't run out!
I was looking at those crackers Warby. One year Mr S did some crackers with spirits in them and they went down very well with guests at Christmas, unfortunately they never did them again which is a shame.
I can't get Mr SA to understand why DS and the GKs can't come in the house on Christmas Eve. He seems to think it's ok as long as they stay in the kitchen for some reason. He has also offered to go to Aldi on his scooter and pick up the last bits, not a chance, still recovering from him doing the shopping last Christmas when I had my leg in plaster 🤣 I say this every year but next Christmas I WILL make sure I have an empty drawer in my freezer to store food I can pick up beforehand rather than rely on online deliveries (another note on my spreadsheet).

I am definitely doing the being organised about Christmas bit again next year. It has been so much less stressful this year knowing that everything is sorted well before the big day.
Definitely buying the Christmas presents and getting them wrapped early again as well.8 -
I’ve I’ve just come back from my Morris@ns and the didn’t have any lettuce at all....only a few cucumbers and satsumas were virtually empty. I managed to get a bag of mixed leaves but they only had a couple of those left. It’s all because of the trucks not getting through.January spends - £587.588

Will have to buy some lettuce seeds and grow my own 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
