Sun_Addict said:Well I’ve been to a Christmas market, had a mince pie and watched Love Actually so feel slightly more Christmassy 🎅🎄Mr SA moaned about the film and went upstairs to watch war films. I absolutely adore Love Actually, that and Christmas Carol with George C Scott playing Scrooge are my favourite Christmas films.
Mr SA was a bit weird at the market and imagined he saw a cafe with seats. It was just a greenhouse type thing with wooden bits and bobs in it, certainly not a cafe. Must’ve been wishful thinking. A cafe that’s open and you can sit inside - what’s that 😩
It would be nice to be able to see a time when cafes, pubs and restaurants have people sat at tables again.
Sadly I don't think that will be any time soon🙄8 -
This new strain of the virus is very frightening, although they say it doesn’t make you more ill, it’s 70% more catching. I really feel like hibernating, wake me up when it’s all over as the sadly departed Avicci once said.
The dog has lost her ID tag from her collar, it can only be in the garden as she definitely had it this afternoon. Something to look for tomorrow. Needle in a haystack springs to mind.
Wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat Christmas Day but PON sent me a recipe for Chestnut roast today, it sounds lovely so sorted now.3 more working days then I’m done until 4 January. Normally I’d have finished last Friday but seems a waste of leave when I can’t go anywhere. I carried forward 16 days leave this year which has never happened before. Normally we go abroad 3 times a year and the leave is used up. Have really missed the 2 annual trips to Lanzarote ☹️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

Morning all, happy Monday 🎄
What a miserable wet and gloomy morning it is here.
On a countdown now, only 2 more work get ups then off until 4 January. Looking forward to not having to log on for a few days even if I can't go anywhere.
Cleaning today is kitchen and dining room. Exercise is walking the dog at lunchtime, a Joe W HIIT workout and a treadmill run after work. Tonight's dinner will be finishing up the remaining home made fishcake from the freezer with some sweet potato wedges and salad. Using up freezer stocks this week. Got a Mr M delivery coming tomorrow then Wednesday I want to go to Aldi first thing to pick up a few bits and whatever is missing from the Mr M delivery. Don't need as much now the Christmas Eve buffet has been cancelled.
Have a marvellous Monday x
