Wow a 50kg dog on your foot 😮 Mine is 9kg and feels heavy, especially when she’s sleeping at the bottom of the bed and won’t budge.
We’ve had all sorts of weird subs but the funniest was when I used Asda a few years ago. They subbed some baking potatoes for a bag of huge peeled potatoes. I never peel potatoes so my kids had never seen peeled potatoes before. They kept poking at the bag and saying ugh what on earth are those, don’t expect us to eat those disgusting things. They ended up in the bin 😂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Glad youre all organised for Christmas now SA xx

Morning all, happy hump day 🎄
Final working day until 4 January 🎉 Should be really quiet today with a lot already finished for Christmas. Will give me chance to do a bit of admin housekeeping.
So glad I decided to finish the shopping yesterday instead of early this morning, I bet it's a nightmare. This means it should be a NSD today. Might have to nip out tomorrow for a paper and some bread rolls but it will only be to the local Mr T Express.
Exercise will be a yoga session, walking the dog and possibly a treadmill run after work. Need to think about what I'm having for tonight's dinner there's plenty of things to choose from. I did a meal plan for all over Christmas but forgot about today. Cleaning is the living room, hall and stairs.
Yesterday I pre-ordered a heated airer from Aldi, it's going to be on special buys from Sunday. I thought I could set it up in the spare room during the day then I can shut the door and open the window. Can't keep putting things on the radiator and I don't have room in the kitchen for a tumble drier, I had extra cupboards instead. I suppose at some stage I could put one in the spare room, I'll see how the heated airer goes first though.
Things don't sound good for Boxing Day onwards with a lot more places going to Tier 4 or possibly a full lockdown.
Have a wonderful Wednesday x

I think it is inevitable that most of the country will end up in Tier 4 after Christmas.
We are hoping that we might be able to sneak in a quick day trip on the boat before we go into lock down again. Not been on it since October when we got back from our two weeks away on it!7 -
Enjoy your last productive day SA!!!I saw those heated airers on the email they send out. I do have a drier though so no point for me but good for people who dont have the space. Let us know if its any good.Certainly sounds like all change again on Boxing Day doesn't it! I work in a primary school so don't expect any change for me as they keep saying they are prioritising keeping schools open. My 2 won't go back straight away though as they are secondary and not exam years.Happy Wednesday xxMummytogirls x7

There's me thinking that by exchanging presents with DS and the GKs in our drive tomorrow might be a bit risky, when lo and behold the couple across the road's son, wife and grandkids have just walked straight into their house with presents! Then Mr SA said his sister is having her son and grandkids round for dinner on Boxing Day. When he told her you're only allowed Christmas Day this year she said they can't come on the day so they're coming Boxing Day instead! Makes you wonder how many other people think you can do this. I'll be sticking to the rules anyway not worth the risk.
Mr SA has used up all the painkillers in the house and fooled me into thinking we have some by leaving the empty boxes in the medicine box. This is a very annoying habit of his, he always puts empty boxes back in cupboards. His gums are hurting again today. Fortunately I checked my work bag and there was a pack of cocodamol in there. Shows how long it is since I was last in the office as these are the painkillers the doctor gave me for my broken leg. I had them in my bag in case I needed to take them as I'd just gone back to work and my leg used to ache if I did too much. That was 2 weeks before we went on Lockdown 1 - seems like a lifetime ago!

I think people are just making their own rules up to suit themselves. Which will ultimately just lead to the virus being spread further.
Like yourselves we are sticking to the rules. We just don't want the risk of spreading the virus to friends and family.7 -
I'm finishing work in 15 minutes, it's really quiet and I've got plenty to do in the house. I still haven't taken the dog out, it's been pouring with rain all day. Unsurprisingly she's not shown any interest in going out. I dread to think what it'll be like on the park now if it was waterlogged yesterday. I think she'll be joining me on the treadmill later at this rate 😆
I've done my finances and cleared the cc balance. Yesterday's purchases haven't cleared yet but the money is there ready for when they do. Not spent anything today as planned. While I'm off work I'll be coming up with a plan for next year like a lot of people. No debt to pay off but need to restart putting money into my emergency fund and save for doing up the lounge and bedroom. Will still keep saving for holidays but goodness knows when we'll eventually be able to go. I doubt we'll be going to Lanzarote in April, nothing booked and I don't plan to book anything either until things are a lot safer. If we have to wait another year so be it.
Mr SA is sat in his chair trying to think of Christmas things I might have forgotten to buy, shouting out random items. He's also worried no one has bought him smellies so is trying to get me to go to Savers and buy him a gift set. I bought him a bottle of Dior which is a lot better than the gift sets he's referring to. It's because he can't find where I've hidden his presents and they will remain hidden until Christmas Day.

Mr SA does make me chuckle 🙂
We don't think we will get away at Easter either. We think our holiday which is booked and paid for will get cancelled again. If it does this time we will take a full refund and put the money towards the shed and a few bits for the garden instead.
It is chucking it down here as well. Got soaked walking the dog at lunchtime. It wasn't raining too hard when we set off but it started to rain heavily when we were about half way round the walk. We are both just about dried out now.8 -
Our first holiday is In may, few nights away in Nice but not holding out for it. Next year going to concentrate on EF. A few years ago I got it to a £1000. Which is where I want to be this time next year. Enjoy your time off work SA.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.009
