Think I have green house envy ๐๐๐January spends - ยฃ587.586

When itโs finished Iโll post a photo. Itโs so nice to have something decent and not cheap. It was paid for using money that was originally destined for a holiday so I wanted to get a good one. Iโm determined I wonโt buy cheap quality things again even if I have to save for ages. Next on the hit list is the oven, another example of buy cheap buy twice. When I think of all the cheap stuff weโve wasted money on that didnโt last 5 minutes over the years itโs frightening.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)12

I thoroughly agree with you SA in that going for quality stuff if your budget can stretch to it is worth it.ย Better to take a bit longer to save up to make sure it is decent.ย The greenhouse sounds wonderful but hope Mr SA keeps away from it as he seems slightly accident prone.ยIโm a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I have to say SA I agree quality. This will now be my most boring contribution to your diary ever.ย
Years ago I bought a huge external filter for a fish tank, it wasn't the best make. Lasted about 18 months before it leaked. Bought another one, lasted a year. I went back to internal filters (exciting stuff eh!) but it is rubbish so I am now looking at one that is nearly 200 pounds. EEK. Everyone talks about this filter as if it is the best thing ever. Well....not everyone but middle-age men on Fish keeping groups on FB.........so you know....ย
As you were.....:Dย
We have Beko oven and it is obviously crap, door seal has gone after a year but it was only one that fitted in the tiny gap........
Nevertheless she persisted.9 -
Yes a tad concerned about Mr SA falling into the greenhouse and it wonโt be his fault according to him, it never is.ย
Buffy a couple of years ago we spent ยฃ600 on a pump for our pond, itโs the size of a Henry Hoover but was worth every penny because we have a huge pond. Photo to follow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)12 -

Earlier this year we wanted to buy a full size 250 litre freezer for the garage. Beko were the only brand that work in garages and out buildings down to -15 degrees. So we had to bite the bullet and get one. We are hoping that if behaves better than the washer dryer has ๐ค7 -
Our washing machine and dishwasher are both Beko. The dishwasher has been fine, the washing machine has been repaired several times but I pay ยฃ3.95 a month for the warranty and have definitely had my moneyโs worth.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Your pond is gorgeous. I love it.ย
I am so jealous. I love my pond and my fish but it is a real pain to run electric out there. At the moment I am just praying they survive. I bought a new filter (200) in the summer but couldn't fit it as there isn't space on the circuit.ย
I suppose I should save for an electrician......Nevertheless she persisted.8 -
The bloke who fitted our new ย boiler 3 years ago was also a pond expert so got us the huge pump and a filter. At the moment we only have 2 fish but both are huge. The photo is only part of the pond, itโs like a small swimming pool. It was there when we moved in so canโt take any credit for it apart from the Easter Island head and Buddha.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I love your pond & can just imagine sitting beside it on a nice summer evening with a glass of something & just relaxing.ย Bliss!
