I always said I would stick with a big 6 company, but a couple of years ago the best big 6 I could get was 25% increase I decided enough was enough. I switched to Peoples Energy. What a breath of fresh air. Monthly email reminder to give meter readings, bill within 2 hours not the 2 or 3 days from previous supplier. Customer services great. When the original supplier hadn't given me the final bill supposedly because the new supplier hadn't given them the meter readings, I spoke to them & they immediately gave me the reference they had been given to confirm they had done as they should. Certainly shut the old CS up very quickly, as in couldn't get off the phone quickly enough. Followed quickly by magical arrival of final bill! The only problem some people would find with them is that their best tariffs need (or needed) 2 months payment right up front. Their current fix I am on is still over 20% cheaper than I was paying over 2 years ago. Obviously things/prices may well have changed since then. They have over 4 times as many customers than when I joined but as I have no need to speak to CS because I have had absolutely no issues I do not know if they have changed at all.9

Morning, happy Friday 🎉
badmemory that sounds like a good energy company to be with. To be honest the only time I've ever had to ring customer services was when I was with nPower, I was constantly on the phone to them, never had to ring Scottish Power.
Just been out to Mr T Express for a loaf of bread, they were selling off tins of tuna in spring water for 35p each so picked up 4.
Happy days my gin advent calendar is arriving today. Not that I can open it yet of course 😁 My passport is at the ready as Amazon always ask for ID even if it's pretty obvious you're over 18.
No Black Friday sales shopping today, I think I got my bargains yesterday. Such a shame it's not like it normally is for me, I usually buy a Debenhams gift card via work, last year we could buy them 8% off. I used to finish work early and buy Christmas presents in the Black Friday sale then go and recover with a coffee before going home. Happy normal days.
I mentioned to Mr SA last night about the possibility of purchasing a real Christmas tree for the patio. It's not like him to be money saving but he suggested moving the conifer in the tub from the bottom of the garden and putting lights on it, would look just the same without the hassle of getting rid of it afterwards and saving £25. So that's what I'm doing.
Waiting for the greenhouse man to turn up, it's a nice dry day so surely he'll come.
Exercise will be a Joe HIIT workout and a run on the treadmill after work. Plus taking the dog on the park. The top of my back and shoulders are stiff and sore this morning after carrying the heavy bags yesterday, I knew they would be.
Making Mediterranean baked cod for tonight's dinner, Mr SA is having fish, chips and mushy peas.
Have a fabulous Friday x

Beanielou - Sorry. I didn't realise you were in Scotland and here's me telling you what you already know all too well. I wonder what will happen on December 11. I can't see them moving us down a Tier where I live.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
I think we will be in Tier 3 until Christmas now and after Christmas as well once the Covid rates start ticking up again. With a lockdown again at the end of January beginning of February.6

SA, you are responsible for me ordering Mum a tea advent calendar and my sister a sweets based advent calendar (sweets from our childhood type thing). I have an advent candle and a bottle of Bailey's.
Totally on you. Nothing to do with me and my Amazon obsession. Nope.Nevertheless she persisted.4 -

The greenhouse is almost up 🎉 He’s coming back in the morning to finish it. Well worth paying out £120 as it’s taken him nearly all day. He was quite impressed how good the greenhouse house, got all the extras like windows that close and open automatically depending on the temperature. TBH I had no idea it did this, it wasn’t exactly cheap though so should be top spec. Looking forward to seeing it finished.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
