Looking increasingly like it was a bug I had rather than something I ate as DD has just announced she has a tummy bug, she's been up most of the night being sick, can't keep anything down and is burning up. She phoned work to say she couldn't come in and they've insisted she go in later for a few hours. Bearing in mind her job involves handling food...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Is it even legal that they are forcing her to come in when she's ill? Surely it's breaching health and safety or public health regulations? Hope she feels better soon.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

Well she ended up going to work at 5pm but she said she felt better anyway. Not that long ago they made employees stay off for 48 hours if they’d had a sickness bug.Hair done then went for a drink with Mr SA in the new local Italian bar/restaurant. This new bar is beautiful and so welcome in our area which is a tad old fashioned and this place brings it bang up to date. Drinks/food prices not too bad either. They open at 9am for coffee too. Will definitely be making this place a regular. Had an Aperol spritz 💕 I may have mentioned before we live in a predominantly Italian area so there are quite a few Italian cafes but this one is top notch. Will be returning for food in the very near future.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Completely random but reminded of this via a friend’s FB post about the old days at school when we used to get lines for misbehaving. Obviously not the type of misbehaviour they get nowadays at school but I remember very well having to write out the poem Tam o’Shanter 5 times for talking too much in class - took me a fair time, it’s a very long poem, didn’t stop me talking though 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Morning all 😎
Can't believe it's Thursday already, the weeks are flying by. Running a bit late today, didn't wake up until 7am which is really late for me. Good job I'm WFH.
Have been to Mr T Express this morning but because I was later than usual the pavements were packed with kids going to school, as there is a school at each end of my road so it gets very busy at times.
I'm going to formulate a workout plan to get back on track now I'm feeling better. I was on a workshop yesterday via work about WFH and exercise and even though I'm a bit of a keep fit fanatic it gave me quite a few ideas for putting a structure in place. Same goes for a meal plan now my appetite is back.
Thought I saw my cat waiting to come in the kitchen patio doors earlier so went to open the door to find it was a squirrel looking through the door, I wish I could've taken a photo it looked so comical 😂
Will have to physically go into work in a couple of weeks time as I'm invigilating at assessments for a day. Should be interesting. I think things are starting to happen re going back permanently albeit on a rota basis, probably 1 or 2 days a week which would suit me fine as I'll get the best of both worlds. Mr SA not happy about this but this is one thing he can't try and control.
I was thinking about this new rule no gatherings of 6 or more, does this mean that when DS and the GKs come one of us will have to leave the house as there are 4 of them and 3 of us? I feel like I can't keep up with all the changes and I'm not sure what you can and can't do.
Have a good one, soon be Friday x
