I think Mr SA is looking forward to the holiday even more than I am, we fly on his birthday, fingers crossed. They’ve closed the schools in Lanzarote and cancelled all large events such as markets and parades even though no CV cases there. Better to be safe than sorry I guess.
So far this year with all that’s happening it’s like one of those disaster movies, signs of the Apocalypse sort of thing 😱
Did 20 minutes on the treadmill plus some other exercises tonight. Made a lovely veggie dhal but felt very extravagant using a tin each of chopped tomatoes, chickpeas and red kidney beans plus red lentils. Made 3 good sized portions though.
Friday 13th again tomorrow and I have a mammogram to look forward too 😱
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
I hope you can have our holiday SA. Mr SA is old enough to make his own decisions as to whether he wants to go.
We're running low on toilet rolls so God only knows if I'll be able to get hold of any on Saturday 😱.

Happy Friday 🥂
Mammogram all done and dusted in 15 minutes. There was only one other woman in the waiting room. Results in 2 weeks.
Mr SA rang me at work all excited because he’d got some toilet rolls from Savers, the ones I like best 😂
Hardly anyone about in the city centre today, I really feel for the already struggling shops. The virus is the last thing they need.Lanzarote has reported 2 virus cases today. It’s frightening how fast it’s spreading all over the world. What a nightmare.
I picked up a few bits from Lidl on my way home. Some shelves were empty, some things were rationed. I got what I wanted thankfully. I’ve gone right over the grocery budget this week but I’m well stocked up for a bit.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Yes, also over the grocery budget but am prepared for a few days.
Good news on the toilet rolls
Enjoy your weekendxx

I found my local big Tescos very interesting, no painkillers, no tinned tomatoes, no baked beans, lots of fresh fruit & veg (would you believe I forgot to pick up potatoes) fresh meat & ready meals seemed to be alright too, but no bread flour, lots of tins of things like sardines. The freezer seemed a bit short on ready meals though, which I suppose makes sense if you are worried you are going to be ill then they would seem the obvious option, but surely not as a backup if you are well! All in all it all seemed very uneven what was & wasn't there. The woman on the checkout told me they had had a huge toilet roll delivery in the morning - all gone!
