Morning folks
Working from home today, I don't think it will be long before we've got to do it every day. Someone at work has developed the symptoms which is frightening. Mr SA is really worried about catching it and is convinced I'm going to pass it on to him via work. I'm not catching the bus even if it's raining, too risky. Both friends have cancelled our catch ups this week.
Mr SA is in the high risk category and as such will need to stay in, not that he goes anywhere on the whole. I think I will have to make the decision to work from home if work don't advise it in the next few days.
Popped into Mr S yesterday lunchtime it was horrendous, it really upset me. Pushy people everywhere clearing the shelves, scrabbling through baskets of cleaning items, virtually nothing left on the shelves. I only wanted some dishwasher tablets as I was down to my last one but the shelf was empty. Fortunately I stopped into Lidl on the way home and picked a box up there. Got a Mr M delivery coming tonight, couldn't get my usual slot of early morning. Will be interesting to see just how much of it I get although I know Mr M's stuff comes straight from the warehouse not the shop like some.
Still not heard anything about the holiday but expecting to at some stage. Jet2 announced they were stopping all holidays to Greece and Cyprus until 1 May and refunding all those that were booked up until then but that it's a changing situation. In the grand scheme of things holidays aren't important at the moment.
I really feel for all the already struggling businesses out there who may not survive this nightmare especially the small businesses who rely so heavily on custom. I usually try to see the positives of a situation but this time I honestly can't think of even one right now.

I think folks who’ve turned up to the office today are about to be sent home. Meetings are getting cancelled left, right and centre. I suppose one positive is that I can work from home and would still get paid even if I couldn’t, for that I feel fortunate.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I don't think there's any positives to come from this either. I would say it will bring communities closer but if other places are like ours currently I've never seen selfishness like it.
Hope you manage to work from home
Take care x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”6 -
I cannot see any positives in this although I think we have a bit more community spirit luckily where I live but most people, myself included are now scared. Economically this will destroy some people and businesses and emotionally I have never known fear like it. The isolation will hit lots of people especially the elderly who are not able to cope with technology like what's app or facetime or online grocery shopping. Both my daughters have been told to work from home although the nursery and schools are open still so my granddaughters are still going there.
Sorry your holiday likely to be cancelled SA but better that than exposing yourself to the virus or being stranded as my friend in Lanzarote is. Nothing open over there and they don't know when they will get home.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Confirmed that we have to work from home. Unfortunately the IT isn’t up to sheer numbers of us doing so and I’ve been disconnected. They are working on it though. Spoke to my manager and he says just wait for IT to update. We all have a briefing call this afternoon and managers will set something up for those who live alone so they’re not isolated.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

It is quite a frightening situation SA because what we're facing is the unknown 😥. I'm glad we can come on here and share how we feel. It will help us to feel less isolated 🙂.
People here are still being quite polite and well mannered in shops, but the empty shelves are an eye opener. Just in the three days since Saturday I can't believe how much emptier the shelves were 😱.
You are lucky that you can get paid to work from home, but the social isolation will be difficult won't it as many of us use socialising to stay cheerful. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

As expected some items missing from my Mr M delivery but not too bad. Mr SA’s beer out of stock so he’s panicking - I’ve got another delivery coming Thursday so told him to wind his neck in. He’s doing my head in already after only one day, will need a lot of patience in the coming weeks methinks.
Work computer access problem fixed and our system has been upgraded to allow us to work from home. We are all to have an online team meeting daily to stay in touch so no one feels isolated.WW has changed to virtual meetings via Zoom until 4 April.
Trying to keep myself busy but can’t settle, I feel like pacing up and down. It’s the uncertainty of everything I don’t like. Need to get my act together pretty sharpish and get on with it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
