Well done on the Cupboard of Doom. I have a whole loft like that if ever you're in my area...
Finding the photos can't have been easy. At least now you know they are there you can pack them away and avoid them. I remember that 80s hair, though. Not yours, obviously, but I had friends with foot high hair. Looked great at the time but for some reasons fashion swung in the direction of smooth ponytails. The young nowadays are relatively unadventurous.
P.S. I had power hair the shape of my shoulder pads. Those were the days. :rotfl:I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hope you both survive the man flu....
I’m pleased to hear your leg isn’t too painful - plaster casts are wonderful things at keeping things still and in place. Have you got crutches you can use to get about?
Pleased to hear you have a sensible boss giving you another week. Please give yourself time to recover before you resume Superwoman duties :A:T
Holidays sound fantastic- something to look forward to.January spends - £587.580 -
Sorry Mr SA is driving you potty. I just hope he doesn't give you his man flu .
I agree about taking the extra week to recover before you work from home. When does your plaster come off? I know you can't wait. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Happy Sunday folks
Woke up with a sore throat and aching this morning, trying to flush it out with plenty of water. It's the last thing I need
Mr SA is driving me nuts, moping about the house, coughing everywhere and generally feeling sorry for himself. It's killing him I can't run around after him. I've made him take the dog out, reminding him that if I had a cold I'd still have to take her.
I've managed to clean the bathroom and bedroom this morning. This afternoon I've made a lentil and nut loaf from a Deliciously Ella recipe, I'll have a portion tonight with some roast parsnips and other veg and freeze the rest.
All being well the cast comes off on 28 January HH, can't come off soon enough in my opinion. On the plus side I'm being spared the big Smonday heralding the first full week back at work. Glad I've got another week before I start working from home. Part of me wishes I'd kept my mouth shut and just took the whole 6 weeks off sick, why do I do it.
As I said before I'm not planning out the whole of 2020 just a month at a time. So this month's goals are:
1. Get back on my feet by the end of the month
2. To get emergency fund up to £3500 by the end of the month
3. Start back on counting my WW points from tomorrow onwards - got 4 weeks until I can next weigh in so plenty of time to offset the past few weeks. No excuses!
4. Make sure I've got at least 2 catch ups with friends booked in for February to look forward to.
5. Keep doing the 30 day exercise challenge until the end of the month.
6. Stick to budgets.
7. Restart using my many recipe books and try at least one new recipe a week.
8. Carry on with the decluttering.
I think that's enough to be going on with. I'm just starting with small steps.
Finance wise VSP now holds £27.09 towards next Christmas, emergency fund still stuck on £3350 and my monthly saver now holds £1750This coming week is the last week of my budget before the new one starts a week tomorrow.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I’m liking the goals - they sound achievable- if anyone can do them, you can
Hope the sore throat doesn’t amount to anything.

I hope the sore throat doesn't turn into a cold. Get plenty of rest to try and ward it off. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
