Morning all Happy New Year :)

Fell asleep on the sofa last night but woke in time to see the fireworks, missed the countdown though, I woke up at 12.03 typical!

I love the fresh start feel to a new year. Been awake since 5am as the dog wanted to go out and she had a really good tour of the garden, she was gone ages. Tried to rouse Mr SA to let her out as at the moment he's more able than me and faster but he was fast off (or pretending to be). Tried to get back to sleep but only dozed so got up at 7.

No sign of Mr SA yet.

Planning to take down the Xmas decorations today and have a good clean and tidy up.

Lets hope the 20s are a better decade for you SA. You were born the same year as me. I am 60 in February but have had no where near the bad luck you have had over the last seven years with Mr SA, broken ankles and leg etc. I would just urge you to take some time for you by way of some respite (no matter what Mr SA says). Lovely you have some holidays to look forward to this year and hope your leg heals quickly. Good job you are fit or otherwise I think it would take a lot longer to heal.

  • I feel like the last decade hasn't been great for me either but hopefully we'll both have a better decade ahead. At least there are some lovely positives among the bad stuff.

I'm glad you've got your holidays booked, it's always nice to have something to look forward to :)

    Thank you all xx

The decorations are down and packed away. Took ages, Mr SA not the best help. Only managed to clean the living room. Tomorrow I'll carry on with the cleaning bit by bit.

Finished my latest book, Camino Island by John Grisham, really enjoyed it :) A new one to start tomorrow from my vast collection.

Mr SA just got back from taking the dog out, I was feeling quite chilled until he uttered the immortal words what's for dinner

In other news today has been the first no spend day of 2020 :)

Supposing you lined up seven beers at the beginning of the week and hid one every time he asks about dinner? He could win it back by cooking, of course...

Wouldn't be expensive as the beers would probably spend most of the year hidden, but it might be satisfying for you.

Love this Cherry! Mind you I don't think SA will be holding her breath any time soon on Mr SA cooking any dinners!:rotfl:

Unfortunately he's not allowed to cook, or maybe that's fortunate or we'd be living on chips :)

Afternoon folks. Been busy today, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, had another tidy up. Logged on to work computer to email my manager to ask if I could start back at work Monday, from home of course. He said give it another week.

Plan for tomorrow is declutter the cupboard of doom, been putting it off but it's desperate now.

My leaky cast cover is being replaced by the manufacturers :) Got to send the faulty one back so they can quality control it. They're going to send me a smaller sized one (large child) which should be tighter. I did wonder if it was leaking from the top as my legs are quite slim so the new one should be better.

Mr SA has man flu and don't we all know about it :(
