DD bought the cat a tin with catnip sardines in it. Mr SA has emptied out the "sardines" and put his Lypsyls in it and is quite pleased with himself for his idea :rotfl:
Beam me up Scotty
Aside from that, finances are done and CC paid off. Waiting for payday now which will be on NYE. On the plus side not spending much although sent Mr SA out for bread and he spent £1.50 on a loaf  I never spend more than 89p. Morning
Decided not to go to WW. The only way there is down a very steep hill and it's bad enough walking down it let alone scooting. I don't think there'll be many there today. If I can catch my neighbour in the week I'll ask her for a lift next Saturday. Her car has gone so I think she might be away for Christmas.
Although I had many offers of help initially, no one has left any means of contacting them or checked back. I know I don't help myself by being seen as so independent.
Took me ages to get up the stairs on my knees with the ironing basket this morning. I left it at the top of the stairs while I went to the toilet. When I came out Mr SA had got up and taken the basket back downstairs thinking it was washing :rotfl:
Today's exciting plans are to clean up as best as I can. Mr SA has gone out with the dog then he's going to fetch a paper. It's hard work motivating him to do anything.
Hope everyone enjoys their SaturdayI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

It might be worth taking a few people up on their offer once they come back on the scene - they might pick up some shopping or do the hoovering, the sort of thing that involves mobility and balance. I know after my accident what I needed most was someone to tie my hair back! DH got quite good at it but then it had to last all day as he was at work. It can be the 'silly' things that make a difference. I also got myself a lap tray which made meals easier. Your needs will be different but even a single incidence of help can be a big thing.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thank you Cherry xx
Managed to clean the whole house in a fashion, not to my usual standards but can't be helped. At least it is done.
Last week when SIL was here she asked if there was anything she could do. Mr SA said yes as she works as a cleaner, self employed, could she help with the cleaning. She said she would as long as we paid her!!! This is what annoys me. Personally I would rather crawl on my hands and knees and do the cleaning myself. Thanks but no thanks
Cross that my waterproof cast cover has leaked alreadyGot out of the bath tonight and the water poured out of it. Despite trying to dry it with my hair drier it still feels wet. Not happy as I paid £17.75 for the cover, have emailed them. I'm sat here and my leg still feels damp
Providing all goes well I've "only" got another 31 days before the cast is removed. On a countdown, had enough already.

If the plaster hasent dried out by tomorrow you might need it replaced.

I hope the plaster dries out! It must be quite uncomfortable.
I bet your SIL would be more amenable if you asked her to pick up some shopping for you 'if she happens to be going to the supermarket'... then someone who works in the supermarket might be equally happy to mop the kitchen, or someone else might take a letter to the post. It's weird how we like to help on our own terms! Anyway you sound very determined and I'm sure you'll be back on your feet in record time (possibly to rescue MR SA from himself).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I hope you are either in bed or on the sofa with a G and T.

Morning
Buffy I was fast asleep from about 8.30 onwards again. Annoyed as I'd just put my feet up with a glass of cava.
The cast is dry on the outside, it's fibre glass, it's the padding on the inside that's wet. Still damp this morning but slowly drying. I think I'll have to forego my long soaks in the bath until the cast is off as I think the cover just isn't up to being submerged in water.
No sign of Mr SA as yet. DD is getting ready to go to work. I'm getting things done bit by bit in between resting my leg. I'm going to make a list of things I could do easily from a chair like declutter cupboards. Don't want to waste my time off.
Going to the hairdressers on Mr SA's scooter is still on for tomorrow, hair is desperate to be cut it's like a mop. Looking forward to getting out of the house for a bit.
