Oh Tits.
I am really sorry SA. Sucks big ones.
Six weeks off Sick. Sounds kinda good (as in plenty of time to be well I think??) but I think both of us use work as something of an escape. Definitely make sure you get the leave back tho.
In one sense I want to say enjoy the time off but in another way I am tempted to say is there a project you would like to do for the house? or plan holidays? the garden? bit far ahead I suppose. Get through the stress of Christmas first!!
Take care my lovely XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Hospital today. Got to go back on Christmas Eve for another X-Ray. If the bone's moved I'll need an op. If it hasn't moved I'll be getting a lovely full leg cast. Not sure which is the worst option to be honest. A full leg cast
Getting plastered on Christmas Eve literally. Happy Christmas to me
Been signed off work 6 weeks, although as I can work from home I'll reassess this after Christmas. On the plus side if I go on sick now I'll get back the leave I booked for next week.
The Chris Evans Breakfast Show rang me this morning and I've been put through to get a mention on the Christmas Day show. He couldn't believe I was listening to the show when I got hit by a car on Friday 13th.
I've had some lovely flowers from one of my friends today
Hope everyone is having a much better day than me
Celeb name droper go you xx
Now if you need a plaster . I think it will need pimping up. Go for a jazzy shade maybe ?ombrie and add glitter to sparkle over xmas and new year.
maybe look into hiring a go kart thing like hubbies this can be pimped too as a sleigh with doggie acting as reindeer xmas solar lights for night time walkies or stagering back from pub x
What ever it is you will just go with flow ... I would say put your big pants on... but you are lucky and tiny and can get the swimming type ones that have ribbon on the sides so youdont have to pullover leg. or maybe some Scottish in you and just a kilt and fresh air TMI lol
When you old and crabby you will have lots of funny stories to tell your grandchildren.
or just book a uk hotel break that will cater for you (and hubby/ optional) and just get in taxi and go xx or book a cruise . All boats have hunky Drs. I remember the TV programme,
ps if you buy lottery ticket put it somewhere safe dont loose it x

Hi SA,
Just caught up on your diary.
Sorry to hear about your accident and I really hope that you don't need an op to sort it.
Sending positive healing vibes your way.

That's Tuesday done
SIL and BIL came round today. So funny listening to SIL nagging Mr SA, that's big sisters for you. We don't get many visitors but the ones we do get always arrive at lunchtime and they are always people that have late breakfasts and don't eat lunch. Both of us were starving by the time they left.
As you know I always make my own soup from scratch but not really feeling up to it at the moment and I ordered a fresh soup from Mr M - lentil, tomato and pepper - it was really nice, very thick.
Note that this year for the first time ever there are no Xmas freebies with the Mr M deliveries
Mr SA is obsessing about what we're going to do about lunch when we go to the panto on Sunday. I think it'll be too busy in the nearby pubs and it would mean taking a wheelchair and him pushing me which is pretty scary. I thought we could just get out of the taxi there and I could hop with the frame.
Tuna - your post really made me laugh, what are you like :rotfl: :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hope you're feeling better, SA.
Was Mr SA always this obsessed with his meals?Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
No he wasn't bothered before, it's all he's got to think now about I suppose.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Just wondered. I'm a bit obsessed about meals but it's more than what I'm going to cook rather than what I'm going to eat. I found out late in life that I really like cooking. Nothing fancy. Just find all that chopping and stirring very therapeutic.
I do feel for you with his "pester lists". Does he have one of those for Christmas?Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Funnily enough I have just had my very first Mr M's delivery tonight & got two free gingerbread peopleI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. They're obviously getting too complacent with me Beanie, maybe I should use someone else for a while, although I get staff discount courtesy of DD which is a bonus.
Morning folks
Stitches are outHad to borrow Mr SA's scooter to get to the docs. It's only round the corner and ut seemed such a waste to order a taxi. I was a bit nervous at first, he put it on the lowest speed setting for me, but I was fine. Didn't run anyone over :rotfl: The wide leg joggers from M&S did the trick of covering my cast but I forgot about my exposed toes - they're still thawing out now.
Really need to do finances today, also meal plan for over Christmas. Got another Mr M delivery coming tomorrow plus one on Xmas Eve.
Mr SA has just gone to have his blood pressure rechecked at the docs as it was sky high last time he went.
Desperate for a shower or bath now, the waterproof cast cover not arrived yet, might have to resort to Beanie's bin liner tip :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
