Happy December :xmastree:
The tree is up, the rest will have to be done as and when. Over faced myself with things to do today. Went to Insanity first thing, had to really motivate myself but enjoyed it so glad I went. Painted the bathroom walls, took the dog on the park, made a batch of roast carrot, garlic and chickpea soup (from a Bootstrap Cook recipe) and resisted the temptation to throttle Mr SA who has been challenging today to say the least - aargh!!!!!!
Got a carer's assessment on Tuesday and I'm tempted to tell them I'm struggling quite a bit with him at the moment.
Only spend today has been on a paper.
At work tomorrow but working from home Tuesday. Thank goodness it's a pretty low key week this week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

I’m another one who thinks you should tell it as it is at the carers meeting.
You had a week and a half last week - the bag sounds like a real bargain. EnjoyJanuary spends - £587.580 -
I really feel for you SA and you should be honest at the carers assessment if you are finding Mr SA tough. My mum is carer for my stepdad who has dementia and she says it is like a bereavement in all but name. I should imagine caring for someone with a brain injury whose personality has altered drastically must be a similar dilemma. Mind you I seem to recall you saying he was difficult even before his brain injury.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. In my job I see some people's needs assessments (different client group but still...) - those carers' needs are very important.
I wonder whether MR SA might be eligible for some sort of Personal Assistant hours? I don't know how widely these are available but I know some people have assistants who come in to help - anything from personal care to going out and about (shops, pub - one individual goes on protest marches among other things) - and this takes a huge burden off the principle carer. And I know a few of the PAs: they are fantastic people who understand where their employer is coming from.
I hope the assessment goes well. You really have to look after your own interests in order to look after Mr SA's.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
