Happy September folks :) August just flew by. Can finally say I'm going on holiday this month :j

Went to the HIIT/Abs at 9am this morning, turns out it's being advertised incorrectly and is actually Insanity Live  Still I gave it a go and enjoyed it, so I'll be booking in for next Sunday. Forgot how much I hate burpees though. I think I've lived on the endorphins it released all day and have been very productive since I got back. I feel loads better for it too. Will probably ache all over in the morning.

Finances done and I will so have to pull my socks up for the next 3 weeks as I'm in real danger of going over budget again. At least the cc is paid off and by keeping a track of spends I can see where it all goes. Extra spends on hair and birthday meal haven't helped and I think I need to rejig my "other" spending pot as I don't think I'm allowing enough, we'll see, for now I need to be more frugal over the next 3 weeks. Mr SA still needs a suitcase but this can come out of the holiday budget.

Meal plan for the week ahead done:
Soup for work lunches - butternut squash, chickpea and lime (one of my old faves)
Tonight - Caribbean style salmon bowl
    Monday - vegetable paella
Tuesday - spiced cod with puy lentils (trying a new WW recipe)
Wednesday - scampi, butternut squash wedges and veg
Thursday - veg chilli and cauli rice (using up freezer stuff)
    Friday - stir fry
Saturday - HM pizza, wedges and salad

Got to do a full week at work this week  However, only 3 days actually in the office - Thursday I'm in London taking meeting notes and Friday I'm working from home.

Weather is gorgeous here today, very sunny but a lot cooler than last week.

  • Sorry about the horrible man on the bike incident, that would shake me up too :(. Hopefully you won't see him again. Good news about the free gym pass though :). Exercise does fill you will positive endorphins so I can see why you felt more productive afterwards. Great news too about the all clear for Mr SA :).

    That’s Monday done :)

Thankfully not aching after Insanity. LOL to someone crying at it SSG :) Apart from just over 20k steps walking to and from work and a walk at lunchtime today is a rest day.

Mr SA and I still arguing over the bloomin suitcase. I’m trying to make him understand he needs a wheelie case not a hold-all, I’m the one who will be handling the cases not him GRR :(

Apart from that a pretty quiet day :)

  • Don't argue with him SA just order the wheeled one. Tell him you refuse to let him go on holiday with you if he has a holdall .

You're amazing for surviving Insanity as well as for doing all those steps:T.

A very belated happy birthday - I’m glad the sun shone for you :)
As for the man - what a coward running off when approached by the man in the car....must have been both scary and maddening.
Enjoy your free time at the gym - can’t you get reduced rates once it runs out. There’s a ‘leisure key’ system near me - I used to have one when caring for my ds many moons ago - they may have changed it all by now though.

    Morning all, happy Wednesday :)

HH I've decided to order the case online and let him see which one I'm buying.

Had to pay £25 for my theatre ticket today. Really looking forward to it, there are 6 of us going. Not told Mr SA yet, it's a few weeks away and there's no need to start him off moaning yet. I'll make sure he gets his dinner before I go.

Working from home today, good choice as it's raining at the moment and I would've got soaked on the walk there. Going to book myself into another class for later today, pondering Fight Klub, I've been assured it's good fun and a great way to de-stress.

Mr SA is just worried any teatime classes I go to will mean he gets his dinner slightly later.

Have a good day everyone xx
