Just had a really frightening incident, I'm still shaking. Nipped down to the local cashpoint to draw out some money for taxi fares to the hospital, Mr SA insisted on coming and bringing the dog. The dog always barks at bikes if they're on the pavement and a scruffy bloke on a bike passed us. Of course she barked and growled at him and snapped at the bike. He came back and started shouting at us saying the dog had bitten him - she hadn't, she just snapped at his bike. He kept shouting then a big burly bloke stopped his car, got out and started shouting at him and cleared him off, I thanked him and carried on walking. Well this bloke on the bike kept coming back, shouting at me, backed me up into a corner shouting in my face. I told him to **$* off and walked away. Then he started on Mr SA. He came back several times. Eventually he went but we went home via the back roads in case we bumped into him again and no way do I want him to know where we live. What a nasty individual and so frightening as he's just the sort to carry a knife, could've been much worse. So shook up I can't tell you :(

That's awful - could you report it to the police? Hope you both feel better soon. x

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    Thanks folks :)

Mr SA got the all clear again, bloods all fine :j He needs to have a brain scan to check why he keeps falling, he had another bad fall yesterday, Dr thinks it’s scarring on the brain.

I’ve calmed down a bit about the idiot this morning although still shaken somewhat. I’m keeping the dog away from the local shops in future she does bark at bikes on the pavement it’s best to keep her away from them. Although when cyclists have said something in the past I’ve told them they shouldn’t be cycling on the pavement, no one has ever reacted like this.

Mr SA was chatting to another dog walker on the park and he told him about this morning's fiasco. He knew who he was talking about and apparently he's a druggie. I thought he looked scruffy and gaunt. He must've been in between fixes.

Anyway time to move on from that as the good news far outweighs the bad - not only has Mr SA got the all clear, I've got my 3 months free gym membership through via Carers Hub - this means I can use our local leisure centre exercise classes for free plus I've been invited to a night at the theatre by someone from my old work team, she's trying to get a few of us together for what sounds like a really fun night :)

The gym membership starts on Sunday and I'd like to go to yoga on Thursdays when I work from home (they stopped the yoga at work due to low attendance and I miss it), I quite fancy the Rave Fit on Fridays too.

Bought 2 more books from the hospital book stall 50p each and all to a good cause :)

  • That is horrendous SA, utterly horrendous. !!!!ing cyclists who behave like that can !!!! RIGHT OFF.

You must report him to the police. He cannot be allowed behave like that. I am so so angry. I am so sick of people being crappy.

It is my greatest fear that someone accuses my dogs of biting them. Gits.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Started that post hours ago! VERY pleased to read about the all clear, fantastic :):):):):):)

and the gym...you know since you like that sort of thing ;)
