Belated birthday wishes SA and I hope you had a lovely day - as others have said, doing exactly what you want! Have another cake!:D:bdaycake:
Words fail me on Mr SA opening your presents!
Your Michael Kors gift bag sounded a smashing freebie. What perfume did you buy?
Sorry to hear about Mr SA's new fall.
Hope you're out enjoying your favourite weather today.

I got the Michael Kors Wonderlust Sublime SSG.
DS and the GKs came today bearing giftsWe all sat out in the garden and the dog enjoyed playing with the kids.
Not happy about tonight though. Booked a table at our local pub for a Rick Astley tribute night, turned up selected food from menu only to be told not doing food tonight because of wedding reception in function roomSo we went back home. Cross as I’d got dressed up
On the plus side probably saved £30.
Bought 3 more books today from local church CS 3 for 75p - good ones too. I read a book a week so get through quite a few plus I pass them on to a colleague at work who then passes her books on to me - recycling at it’s finest:) I do love my books, always have done since I was about 2 years old.
Hoping for a relaxing day in the garden tomorrow. Mr SA wants to go in town but I don’t it’s too hot for a start....:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to hear about the debacle at the pub SA. How annoying.
Your afternoon sounded lovely though - and the weather was glorious!
You're doing well with the CS books - great idea swapping them with your colleague too.
Insist to Mr SA that you're relaxing tomorrow and not going out - revenge for the present opening......:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

What a bargain those books are! It's a shame your evening out didn't meet expectations though.
Mind you, if you set aside the £30 you didn't spend, that could fund the next 120 books from the CS.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oh that's so disappointing.
Really minded that for you, hopefully you can divert the £30 to something special for yourself in the future - perhaps special lunch the next couple of times you get to do a work thing in Birmingham? Or towards the next bottle of perfume, or matching bath lotion/gel?LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Morning folks, another week and month nearly gone in a flash. Not liking the dark mornings and getting dark early - seems too soon.
Working from home today as Mr SA has his consultants appointment. Normally I would've had to have taken the day off but now we can work from home I can make my hours up around the appointment.
I can see why I normally make sure we're on holiday for my birthday as, apart from the lunch out, it was a bit of a non-event on the whole. It's so limiting what we can do because of Mr SA. The weather was glorious though, thankfully. Note to self....
The dog is going through a spate of waking me up at 2am to go outside and I'm struggling to get back to sleep afterwards. This means when I eventually get to put my feet up a night to watch a bit of TV I'm falling asleep even if it's something I really want to watch which is annoying to say the least. Feeling a bit meh this week to be honest, feel like I've lost my mojo with everything. Trying to get back on track, went for a run yesterday which felt good. I will pick myself up and at least Lanzarote is getting closer.
Payday tomorrow at long last although every penny is just about spoken for. I'm glad I set up the standing order to the savings account.
Have a good day, will let you know how Mr SA got on at the hospital later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
