  • I hope your interview went well SA. You so deserve a promotion. Let us know how you got on.

Well done for haggling with V1rg!n, threatening to leave does usually get results :D.

I hope Mr SA gets his lump checked out soon, but it does sound as it it's likely to be connected to his fall.

    Happy Friday folks :j

I thought I'd posted last night but apparently not :(

The interview wasn't as bad as I thought and was all over in 20 minutes I honestly don't think I got the job, I felt I rushed what I was saying and probably didn't say what they wanted to hear which is what you're scored on. When I'm nervous I talk for England at 100 words a second! I hadn't heard anything up until when I left work at 4pm anyway. It is what it is now and I am NEVER EVER going to apply for another job EVER again unless I really have to, it's too stressful, I had a cracking headache and sore throat yesterday from too much thinking and talking. I love the job I'm in now, the money is fairly decent, it's certainly not stressful and the people are nice.

Moving on, Mr SA has had two more bad falls this week. The worst being yesterday when he fell at the bottom of the garden where it gets really hot, he couldn't get up, he didn't have his phone with him and he thought he was going to die.

Thank you for reminding me the lump could be a haematoma. He's got an appointment with his consultant at the end of the month so I'll make sure it gets checked out.

In other news I met my old work team for drinks after work today which was lovely. I still miss working with them but glad I don't work there anymore after the stories they were telling. It sounds ghastly :( I certainly don't regret the move to where I am now.

So glad this week is done :)

Hope Mr SA is feeling better after his falls.

Re the interview - at least you went for it - and your current job ticks all your boxes, especially your comment that it's not particularly stressful. I think you have enough stress at home - you don't need it at work too!

    Have a good Saturday.

Hope Mr SA is okay now.

As for the possible other job, while the money sounds great, your list of things you like about your current job makes me think you have a lot going for you there. Remember the saying about money not buying happiness? When you think how much of ones life is spent at work, it's important that it's as positive an experience as possible. Still here's wishing you all the best when they go through the interview results! You clearly have lots to offer and experienced interviewers will take nerves into account.

    Aw thanks folks xx

Been to WW today, lost half a pound which was a surprise as I've not been much on track this week. Still under goal by 2.5lbs so happy with that.

DS and the GKs came today and it's been bedlam  The GKs were arguing and fighting. GS was hitting everyone, Mr SA was winding him up, DD was encouraging them to be over excited  Then DIL was talking about Christmas

    And breathe.

It's been very windy here today but on the plus side have got 3 loads of washing dry.

    Morning folks :)

Up early again today, taking advantage of that lovely peaceful time before Mr SA and the dog get up.

    Finances done already:

Tesco card £241.58 - have paid a fair bit off this week, want to get it down to an amount I can just clear on payday.

VSP £407.68 - target £450 by the end of the month.
Monthly Saver £500 - nothing to added until payday.
Emergency Fund £3300.00 - no chance of anything being added to this currently.

Need to start saving up for a new front door and front bay windows then refurbish the living room. Mr SA is protesting about this but the door and front windows have had it, he can't see anything wrong with them being held together with silver tape!!

    Now to do menu plan.
