It's a wonder my blood pressure isn't sky high with Mr SA. He's doing my head in today. I went through years of stress with the kids, then they grew up and settled down, only to be replaced with Mr SA. What did I do in a previous life
He just doesn't get the concept of me working at home and that it means I'm working not looking for the dog's lead that he mislaid or making his lunch. Plus because I usually work at home Thursdays he keeps saying it's Friday tomorrow. Aargh!!
Part of me is dreading being off next week, I'll have to really put my foot down and make him realise I'm taking time off to get some jobs done and hopefully a bit of time to myself. Someone I worked with for 18 years is retiring next week and I want to go to their lunchtime do. Mr SA is trying to say I can't leave him to go, yes I can. I'll probably be tearing my hair out by then and need to escape. This is why I'm dreading retiring, I need my space for my sanity.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Not so good then

Some people retire then, as soon as they can do so without affecting their finances adversely, they go back to work. Might that be an option?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks all xx
I don’t retire until 2027 so no need to panic yet. I need to concentrate on right now for the moment.
In other news another PA job has come up at work, more money, will be putting another application inGot to try. Not heard anything from the last application yet but I know these things take time.

That’s me done at work for 9 days :j
I think it will be a battle with Mr SA to get the things done I want to get done. As the weather forecast is good for next week he just wants to sit outside and do nothing. I will win this particular battle - yes I will. I don’t want to waste my time off.
Fitbit arrived today. Really impressed how quickly it was up and running and all data transferred from the old one seamlessly via the app.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hi SA - just read through the last month and a bit of your diary. Wow! Reading it like this has really been an eye opener on how much you get done in your busy life. If I was wearing a hat now I would really take it off to you - full time responsible job, doing everything in the house, managing the finances, eating well, exercising and creating delicious foods - and, er, coping with Mr SA!
Make sure you make plenty of time for yourself next week - get out and see your friends and have some real ME time. Mr SA will have to cope for a few hours on his own.
I really hope you get your wish on the promotions, you deserve it - and if you do, DON'T tell him - keep mum on the extra salary!
Have a good weekend.

Put a pound back on at WW still well under goal so not bothered. Bought 3 books for 75p at the charity shop, all look brand new - bargain
DS and the GKs came today, GS was particularly trying unfortunatelyHe and Mr SA were clashing. Mr SA was asking the GKs what they want for Christmas
In other disasters the ironing board collapsed. Ordered a fence paint sprayer from Argos so added a new ironing board to the order. Might as well as paying delivery costs anyway. Every time I do an Argos order I think what do I need if I’m paying for delivery.
