Maybe that plank needs to stay in place? Glad he got out okay.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Friday

This week has just flown by.
Had a lovely catch up with work friend at lunchtime, I miss working with her but don’t miss my old job at all.
Parcel arrived today, Mr SA stayed in for it on pain of death.
Tried the pulled jackfruit burger tonight, should’ve been last night but couldn’t be bothered. The jackfruit was lovely but didn’t really “pull’ as such. It would make a great jacket potato filling. Anyway I would recommend it. I was worried it would be like meat but it wasn’t. It’s cheap too, £1.20 a tin from Mr S and serves 4.
DS and the GKs coming tomorrow to pick up GDs birthday presents, still need to get the princess balloon LOL.
The weather has been lovely here the past few days but doesn’t sound as good for the weekend unfortunately.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad that you had a good time

Evening all.
Not one of my better Saturdays. Put the 1.5lbs back on I lost last week at WW but not the end of the world as still 2lbs under goal. Bought a rice/quinoa steamer as 20% off this week, tried it out tonight and it’s brilliant
DS and the GKs came. GS was a pain to be honest, I think he was jealous of GDs birthday presents, he started opening them so DS had to put them in his car. Anyway I got GD her princess balloon but apparently it didn’t have her favourite princess on it.
Mr SA has driven me to distraction this afternoon. He’s decided his phone isn’t what he wants so when I was in the bath he got DD to order him a second hand one and announced I owe her £27. I refused as his current phone is still under contract. I’ve insisted he must pay for it out of his stash. I just hope his SIM card fits the new one. Right now I could throttle him.
On the plus side the new toilet seat is fitted and is much better than the old one even before it was broken.
Someone pass the gin.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

You'd think DD would have more bl00dy sense than to order him another phone!! Does she take any notice at all of what's going on under her nose???
Sounds like a nightmare with DGS. I always found it easier to buy small presents as well, for the one whose birthday it isn''t -more so in your case I think if DGS is on the spectrum? (If (I've misunderstood that please forgive me)
Think you deserve more than one gin - enjoy in peace if you can. :A (((hugs)))I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0 -
Oh my goodness you definitely deserve several gins SA . Naughty Mr SA getting a new phone, you were definitely right to make him pay for it himself . I second the idea of getting DGS a few cheap presents another time for the sake of peace
.
I hope your gins mellowed you out and you have better Sunday

Virtual gin coming your way but I suspect you need a real one or three!!
I’m pleased you got to meet your friend - you need that escape.
Weather here has been lovely - not that I’ve seen much I’ve had a real lazy day after my travels - shattered.comJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Chrystal yes he is on the spectrum. I’d got him a Spider-Man drawing pad but he was too hyper to appreciate it.
Today has been calmer thank goodness, although Mr SA has had another fall earlier and ripped the knee out of his joggers
He’s driven me nuts this weekend to be honest. I’ll be glad to get back to work.
Going in work later tomorrow, going for a coffee first then need to get some cotton wool pads from Primark. Will be a nice gentle start to the week.
Meal plan:
Tonight has been lentil loaf from the Deliciously Ella app.
Monday Caribbean salmon
Tuesday Aubergine and chickpea stew from the Ella app
Wednesday stuffed pepper with quinoa
Thursday Stir fry
Friday Lemon sole and butternut squash wedges
Soup for work lunches is carrot and lentil
Weather has been good over the weekend mixture of hot sun and cloud.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Can't believe it's Thursday already, time is flying by!
Working from home today, just having a break.
The job application has been submitted. Trying not to think about it too much, I'll be amazed if I get through the sift. I had to have a go though as the job is the same as I'm doing now more or less just £6k a year more.
Mr SA has been suffering with his ribs all week and don't I know about it - he's kept me awake two nights running complaining about it all night
I've now got a huge bite on my ankle - right on the bone I broke, it looks like I've got a golf ball on my ankle. I couldn't do Pilates yesterday it was so sore.
Some good money news in that I was awarded a £200 bonus on Monday which will be in my July pay, obviously got to pay tax and NI on it but really pleased. Then on Tuesday I got a £20 voucher from work. On a roll :j Not told Mr SA or he'll be spending it for me. I think the bonus will go on a new Fitbit as mine is on its last legs and I'd be lost without it.
In other money news I've shuffled some money about and rounded up my emergency fund to £3300.00. VSP now holds £366.57.
So not a bad week so far
