Evening all.
Only put on 1lb at WW, very happy with that, still under goal. However will have to be extra good as sometimes there’s a delayed reaction with weight.
DS and the GKs came today, GS is getting better behaved thank goodness, his talking is really coming on. He’s still showing autism signs but not as bad. GD is just delightful, a proper little girl.
Bought some solar lights from Lidl this morning, they look good in the garden.
Beautiful sunny day here today but bloomin’ freezing

To add - Mr SA’s appointment is 15 May. He doesn’t look well at the moment and keeps falling asleep, fingers crossed the news is good.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Evening all.
Been busy decluttering today, have sorted out all the recipes cut out of magazines and listed them on a spreadsheet - sad I know LOL. Took me ages, have culled loads though. A job well done. A bit more tidying up in the garden done too.
No particular plans for tomorrow, probably more decluttering or gardening depending on the weather. Last day off work tomorrow

De-cluttering can be slow sometimes, but now you'll have all your recipes in one place and will be more likely to use them
.
I hope you enjoy your last day off tomorrow. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I'm impressed at you going through all those recipes! I wonder if you have as many as I do?!
Mine would be a huge challenge plus I've inherited all the ones Mum cut out! I was going to put Mum's in a scrapbook but it occurred to me most were exactly what mine were - nice ideas that never got anywhere, so only a few of them actually matter. I found the ones that mattered because we remember Mum made them: I might try to do something special with those, then look for ones that appeal to me before culling random others. Did you categorise your in any way? I've not much clue where to start! I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Afternoon folks, happy bank holiday Monday

Can't believe this time last week I was still on holiday, it's gone so fast
Cherry, yes I've categorised my recipes to make them easy to reference. What I do is make them then if they're not fabulous I throw them away. The ones I love I keep together in a tried and tested section.
Been to Aldi today, bought some more solar lights and fuschias along with the fruit/veg needed for the week ahead. They had loads of fab garden stuff but I need to see what we need first.
Back to work tomorrow but as I haven't had a sensible conversation with anyone (bar DS and GF) for the best part of 3 weeks, it's not a bad thing. You just can't have a decent conversation with Mr SA, he only wants to talk about himself and how poorly he is or he says things that don't make sense.
Plans for this afternoon are cleaning, meal planning, quick look at finances, make soup for work lunches and get things ready for return to work tomorrow. If you think I'm always cleaning - I have to because Mr SA just leaves a trail of mud from the garden, coffee stains and general mess everywhere, it's almost a full time job.
On the decluttering front I've ordered a hairdressers type trolley from Amazon to store my toiletries (I have rather a lot). This can go in the spare bedroom/gym which is next to the bathroom so easy to access as and when I need fresh supplies rather than rummage through boxes in the bedroom and shouting when I can't find anything
