Have started prepping food wise for the week ahead. Making butternut squash, chickpea and lime soup for work lunches, chopped up the Aldi pineapple and kiwi fruits for breakfasts (will be added to fat free natural yoghurt), roasted some butternut squash for tonight's dinner of spiced butternut squash stew with cheese dumplings, making two portions and will have the rest for tomorrow's dinner.
:rotfl: :rotfl: to Mr SA looking like a strange Arab. Your food sounds lovely.

Mr SA did something very stupid this afternoon - he tried to walk to the end of our road with the dog to meet me. Fortunately he made it back ok, shuffling extremely slowly and he had to keep stopping. Told him off, if he'd had a fall anything could've happened. So dangerous! Plus he had slipper socks on :eek:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

That's Tuesday done
Beanie, he's not getting worse just no better. His latest idea is to put up a hammock in the covered area where he keeps his scooter. Bearing in mind it's a wooden structure and he's 18 stone and bearing in mind hammocks aren't the easiest things to get in and out of even if you're not disabled, I would say this is a disaster waiting to happen
I was in a meeting at work today and came back to two missed calls from him. Rang him back, he was ringing to remind me I'd forgotten to give him his £10 he gets as "pocket money" every week.
Despite the stress tonight is another AFD, I've done my 20k steps and a yoga sessionI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Well done on having an AFD despite Mr SA's antics . Well done also on the yoga and walk :T.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

That's Wednesday done
Mr SA rang me in a panic this morning, he said he kept falling asleep and had headache. He had tried to take the dog out on his scooter and couldn't think where he was so came back. Deja vu to 6 years ago  When I got home from work he was full of cold so hopefully it's just a bug. A lot of people at work are full of cold at the moment.
In other news I've only done 18k steps today but have done a hour of Pilates. Tonight is also AFD 3 of this weekHave promised myself a glass of wine tomorrow though.
Sticking to this bloomin' budget is proving harder than I thought. We are running out of everything for some reason. It happens every time I think I'm doing well and is so annoyingPlan A is to only buy what we actually really need between now and Monday. Plan B is to buy what we're running out of and reset the budget until the end of the month. Plan C is to cheat and go over budget, although this will mean February's budget is tighter. Plan D is to win the lottery.

I love Plan D :rotfl:
I hope Mr SA is okay, and well done on the AFD's.
Only 18k steps  I don't think I do that in a week:rotfl:

Plan D sounds good to me too.
We keep running out of things too... except Christmas food. We still have Christmas food!
Hope MR SA is okay. There are some debilitating bugs around so I wouldn't be surprised if he's brewing one of them.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It's annoying when you run out of food items. It's really hard to stick to a low food budget at the moment because prices are going up and up. So if you buy the same you spend more and if you buy less you spend the same. It's very demoralising .
