I'm in work at 5.00am three days a week. The good bit is that I finish at 11.00am. These cold mornings are hard but as soon as the alarm goes off, I'm straight up so O/H doesn't wake up. Surprisingly it's easier in the summer.
I also looked at my official retirement date and like you it's depressing. Think I'm going to try your plan D.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Happy Saturday
Can't believe that despite all the exercise, AFDs and tracking all week I put a pound on at WWNot downhearted though and have a plan. Usually I don't count at the weekend then cut back during the week, then hope my weeklies and rollovers during the week make up for the weekend. I've decided to track every day to see if this is so. I've tracked everything today and will be minus 5 points at the end of today  Have used all my dailies, weeklies and am in deficit with my rollovers. This is mainly down to the pizza we're having tonight - 17 points for half a pizza  It's just not worth it and I won't be having it again, it's nice but not that nice. Personally I'd rather have a home made curry which would be low in points but this is the only meal Mr SA and I share, we usually have different meals the rest of the week. OMG
Can't believe every bloomin' time I cut the wine out in the week I put weight on. What's all that about?
Anyway that aside, the weather has been mild here today but very gloomy. I've been out twice with the dog on the park, it was like a mud bath after the overnight rain.
Hope everyone is having a good day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Nothing worse than an unexpected gain
. I’m sure it’ll be off again next week. Could it be water retention? Xx

I agree with Buffy on the wine!:rotfl:
Belated birthday wishes to your DD - mine is 45! this confuses me immensely as I still think I'm only 40! (Or 10 sometimes!:D)
Sorry to hear about the extra tagged onto your retirement date SA - I'm terrified that my State Pension age will get pushed back further in the next two years which is when I want to finish work.:(

I was a lb on too this morning. It’s what I deserved but I’m mad with myself.....maybe we should drown our sorrows in a wine
:eek:Hope they don’t change the retirement age again unless they lower it but there’s zero chance of that happening.January spends - £587.580 -
Here we go again, the weekend's rapidly disappearing.
Have been really busy today, went to Aldi this morning, spent a bit more than I planned (as usual) but have plenty of food for the week ahead. Things will be tight from now until the end of the month but still do-able. Have spent what seems like hours cooking but now have a batch of spicy lentil soup for work lunches, 6 portions of veggie lasagne and 2 portions of fish pie - all WW recipes of course
Have done my finances so here are the "scores on the doors":
Debt £1570.00 - doubt any more will be paid off until payday now
VSP £82.00 - £5.73 in this week making a total of £26.02 so far for January
Emergency fund £3266.50 - this has gone down as I've had to take £344 for the fridge freezer out plus the £395 vet bill money that I've kept shuffling about for a few months. Once the debt has been paid off I can start building it back up again
Holiday balance £1034 - again will pay some off on payday
Tesco card £0 - paid off the balance today
I'm really pleased that I'm still keeping a track of what I spend and next month should be better cash flow wise. I really need to keep this up, having targets is helping.
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekendI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
