Wishing you a Peaceful Christmas and that Mr SA behaves himself ((hugs))XI Believe.....

Happy Christmas folks, hope everyone has had/still having a fabulous day xx
It's been a nice day here, nothing exciting but Mr SA and I have been to the local which was lovely. It was packed solid. DD eventually got up at lunchtime and she likes her presents - shock! Just cooking the Christmas dinner now, we always have ours at night. Mr SA and DD are having chicken and I've made a lentil roast for me. I'm keeping an eye on Mr SA as he's been bought some spirits for Christmas and he can tend to go overboard with his measures, the last thing I want is to have to call an ambulance if he falls over tonight. He has been warned.
Anyway I've had some nice presents - gin, champagne, smellies, what more could a girl want :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Happy Boxing Day
Can't believe all the mad people queuing for the sales on TV. Shopping is the last thing I feel like doing. Got an online food shop coming tomorrow, annoyingly Mr M are out of anything fresh like bread and veg so will need to venture out at some stage.
Will have to go to the launderette again as the washer isn't being fixed until 2 January
My friend is over from Oz and wants to meet up with me before she goes back. I'd love to see her but Mr SA isn't happy about it as he doesn't like her, he says she's trouble. She isn't, he's harking back to about 35 years ago. I'm going to meet her, I'm not listening to him, might not get the chance again for years.
The lentil roast was lovely and there's plenty left to freeze for another day. It was a quiet evening too Mr SA was careful with the spirits thankfully. One good thing is my gin is safe as he doesn't like it
I'm never eating peanuts again as I kept waking up in the night to drink water I was so thirsty from all the salt
I don't plan to do anything much today except take the dog out.
Hope everyone has a good dayI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Definitely meet up with your friend. Mr SA is very unfair to make a fuss about it when you consider all you do for him. Crimbo limbo time
Glad I didn't go back to work today, some have. Got loads of things I'd like to get done over the next few days, bits and bobs I don't usually get time for. I've made a listMust look at finances
Had a nice afternoon yesterday, Mr SA went to bed to watch Top Gear so I poured myself a glass of wine, put my feet up on the sofa and watched Love Actually, one of my favourite films.
The dog was sick at 2amI left it until this morning to clear up though, not the best start to the day.
I've put a colour on my hair this morning so something ticked off the to do list.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Quite a productive day today, as the weather is so mild have been tidying up in the garden. Annoyingly this is something Mr SA should be doing while I'm at work instead of sleeping and watching Top Gear. OMG the shed is a right mess, just a jumble of rubbish. Found Mr SA's Fat Face coat outside covered in mud
Instead of giving me a hand he went out on his scooter "for some fresh air" and came back with a cardboard fire station from the charity shop (for the GKs to play with when they come here). I've got nowhere to put it, I'm trying to declutter not acquire stuff!
I've finally filed the recipes I cut out from magazines too.
Next on the list is finances - going to be scary - might need gin :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Finally got round to finances - minus the gin
Along with the majority of folks I got a bit lapse with the budget over Christmas. A line has been drawn in the sand and I'm back on the wagon now. No major expenditure predicted for the foreseeable future, we're going out on New Year's Eve but the meal and prosecco have already been paid for so will just need a bit of cash for beer for Mr SA.
Have paid as much as I could off the Tesco card today, the rest will follow on payday.
Thankfully I get paid on Monday.
My Weekly Budget app is back in action. No excuses.
Need to get back on track with WW too. Thankfully no class this Saturday so have just over a week to cut down. Feel like I've put about a stone on - hopefully I haven't. I'm missing my exercise - walking to work and back, the gym, Pilates and yoga. I just want to get back to normal now, I hate feeling like this.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
