    Thanks all xx

I do need a break from him, it won't happen though. No one is willing to help unfortunately they just pay lip service - plus he's resistant to anything like this.

He's just come up with a list of food items he wants for Christmas one of said items being chocolate martini cakes!!!!! He watches too many adverts and is sucked in by them all!!

Anyway that aside, met some retired friends for lunch today and we had a lovely catch up. Pub was absolutely packed though and it was a nightmare getting served at the bar.

The lovely lady I work with has been very naughty and bought me a Christmas present - she finished for Christmas today so I can't reciprocate but my plan is to buy her some flowers to put on her desk in the new year. I felt awful, I had no idea she'd do this.

My gin advent calendar has revealed Whitley Neill Parma violet gin tonight which is rather nice :)

DS and family coming tomorrow earlier than normal as DS OH is having her hair done at the hairdressers at the end of our road.

Budget on track so far this week, hoping to be able to pay some more off debt.

  • Wish we could help in SA, it's awful never getting a break.

    Morning all :)

Just enjoying the quiet period before Mr SA and the dog get up, I love early Saturday and Sunday mornings best parts of the week :)

Not going to WW today as have got loads to do before DS and the GKs come. It's DS's birthday next Thursday (timed that one well didn't I) so I've put £20 in his card and I've got him a beer and glass set just for something for him to open. His birthday does tend to get lost in the festivities.

Mr SA wants to go to a local park tomorrow without the dog (she'll be devastated) as it's the final weekend of their Christmas market and there'll be carol singing etc. We haven't been yet so it would be nice. He wants to go for lunch afterwards, hence not taking the dog. As much as I'd like a nice chilled day at home I think it will be a nice thing to do, weather permitting.

Have a great day folks :)

Just a thought re: respite. Have you looked into paid respite? I know it can't be cheap and Mr SA will probably have to be 'managed' into it, but it could make all the difference to you.

Hope you managed to get to the carol singing.

We’d planned on going to a place a tram ride from here to follow a snowman trail and light festival yesterday but the weather was awful and we didn’t bother. I was quite pleased not to spend any extra cash though and stay warm as I’ve got a a streaming cold I need to get rid of this week.
