Weather gorgeous here today, sunny and very mild. Killed two birds with one stone and walked the dog to Aldi with Mr SA in tow.
Got the dog a new coat as the old one is too short but she won't try it on, keeps growling at me.
Now the army trousers and goggles have been purchased, Mr SA has decided he needs some slip on shoes - yes that old chestnut again. His "just what I need" fur lined boots purchased recently are too much trouble for him as they have laces. I told him that we don't have the never ending supply of spare money he seems to think we have. His reply was (and I quote) "if you spent less money gallivanting about then we'd have more money".
There is no polite answer to that.
Is it time to open the gin advent calendar yet?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I'd suggest you pour the gin over Mr SA  but that would be a terrible waste of gin :rotfl:.
Can you tell him to use his own spending money for the slip on shoes? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

HH - I give him £10 a week just so he has something in his wallet. He hardly ever spends it, he puts everything on the card. We won't be going anywhere in the near future to buy slip on shoes so he might forget for a while hopefully. What annoys me is he forgets how much money goes on his beer supply.
Last round up of finances, my purse has been emptied into MSP and there is now £30 plus some change in there.
VSP now holds £13.14.
Tesco card now £0
Vet bill now £435
Bcard still £1880
Christmas cards written out, didn't take me long the list gets shorter every year sadly.
Dog is happy now she's been on the park.
Hope everyone's had a good day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

You should remind him frequently about the price of beer! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I don't know how you cope
Really. I think I'd have shouted. Very loud.

Well done for conquering the Tesco card!
I think you could write a book of Mr SA's exploits and it would sell like hot cakes.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Yes - it's great that the Tesco debt has now vanished!
You could show him a list of how much per month he spends on his beer to put things into perspective but I've a feeling it won't make much difference......:(
What is his rationale for buying the ski goggles by the way - notwithstanding the fact he won't be going anywhere near a ski slope?:eek:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

SA hope the ski goggles come in for good use for Mr SA for what reason I don't know.
The Christmas card lists do get shorter each year, a conversation we had yesterday in Oz .
