Sounds like a horrendous day. Next time keep the parents and send the kids out shopping. Promise them (parents) a quiet afternoon if they bring a bottle of gin.
Hope the poorly ankle is okay.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sounds like a full on day - am I right in thinking they were assessing your gs or did I dream that one?
Hope your ankle is ok and you’re chilling this eveningJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Yes Milann they are assessing GS for autism. He's showing all the signs apparently. What concerns me is that he's fine and then all of a sudden he shouts naughty and then lashes out at anyone in his path.
On the spur of the moment we went to our local pub to see a swing band. They don't usually have entertainment on Sunday afternoons and I'm so glad we went. Mr SA wasn't keen at first but enjoyed it in the end. The pub was heaving and the band were fab, the atmosphere was amazing so ChristmassyI loved the way everyone was dressed in sparkly outfits it felt like Christmas Day.
Anyway the decorations at home are all up. This year's tree is an artificial one from Wilko and it looks great. Really pleased with it.
This coming week I've got three normal work days then Thursday I'm meeting my work friend for a drink and catch up, I might finish at lunch if I can, then Friday I'm going on the train to see some retired friends and we're going for lunch.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad that you have things to look forward to this week
xx

I have seen this in people with autism. Possible causes include boredom, being over-excited, over-stimulation or change... but you probably know this.Do you think he does it for attention? Or does he cope better if he has a quiet area to go to, possibly somewhere with very little visual or auditory stimulation?
(At work we have had a corridor repainted from yellow to a very gentle green to make it easier for people with autism. It certainly makes me feel relaxed just looking at it, and I don't have autism!)I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I don't think he does it for attention but he does go off and hide afterwards, usually under a table. At home he has sensory things recommended by the health visitor.
I've had a big disappointment today in that the lunch on Friday I was looking forward to has been cancelled due to one of my friends being illIt was decided to reschedule when we can all get together. As I've booked the day off work and was looking forward to it, I've decided to just have a day in town to myself. On the plus side at least I won't have to fork out for train fares on what was becoming a quite spendy week.
Did something really stupid tonight - I got my receipts out of my handbag from yesterday lunchtime and thought I'd been overcharged by £10 for the drinks. I messaged the pub and they said they'd look into it, asked me who served me. Imagine my embarrassment when I looked at the receipt again to find it was an old receipt and not even from that pub! Sent a grovelling message back and sloped off into a corner in shame.
Watching the TV with tonight's gin which is very nice. Didn't like yesterday's which was Edinburgh rasberry liqueur gin, one of those 20% alcohol ones (sorry Beanie I think this is your favourite?). It was like syrup, too sweet for me. Enjoying trying all the different ones though, seeing which I like and which I don't
