Can't believe it's been almost a week since I last posted! This week has just flown by.
Well I did go back for more CavaBrizzle you'll be too late for the offer as it finished on Sunday.
Took the GKs to the Christmas fair on Sunday, they went to see Santa and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Mr SA stayed home, it was a good job really as it was heaving. I can't believe how cheap everything on the stalls was.
Did a Zumba session for charity Monday and yoga Tuesday. Yesterday I went to Birmingham for the work meeting. I took the morning off to go shopping as the meeting was in the afternoon. I walked all over the Bullring and the town centre, did over 25k steps in high-ish heels my feet are still sore! Didn't buy a thing other than coffee/lunch/cheeky glass of red while waiting for the train. Got on the train to Glasgow by mistake - it was running late and pulled up to the platform at the time my train was due, I just assumed it was my train. Luckily I realised before it pulled off!
Today I've been working at home and haven't even got dressed all day. I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped but nothing left that can't wait until tomorrow. I thought Mr SA would be hassling me all day but he just watched TV/slept in the living room.
Payday tomorrow and have sorted finances for this month. I was hoping to be able to pay £400 off the Barclaycard but thanks to me overspending last month the Tesco card will need to be cleared as a priority - might be able to pay £200 off though which is better than nothing.
I really need to set myself targets to stick to as I feel like I'm just hurtling from month to month without achieving anything. My main aim is to pay off the debt and start saving in earnest. I'm finding it easier now I'm religiously filling in the weekly budget app but like they say a goal is just a dream without a plan - I know what I need to do I just need to put it down in writing for myself.
I seem to have got into a habit of just buying stuff and not really thinking about which budget pot it's coming out of and this needs to be addressed. I think oh it's only £10 (for example) but it's the little spends that add up.
My VSP for Christmas finished at £500 which is a lot less than in previous years so I need to have a target amount to save each month as ideally I'd like it to be £700 next year.
Still not received my carer's payment so chased it up today as it's gone past the 4 weeks they said it would take to process it. Anyway it's not been processed yet - they have a backlog. I should get it in a couple of weeks. When I eventually get it I'm going to put it into a treat fund which will be just for me to spend on whatever I want.
Got the GKs coming on Saturday while mum and dad go Christmas shopping. Trying to think of things to keep them occupied - might make some Christmas biscuits with them to start with.
Anyway really need to catch up with diaries ....I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Your day in Birmingham sounds really good and not too spendy
.
You're right that it's the little spends that really add up. I think that's what's scuppered me and DH over the years.
