Unbelievable! Mr SA went in a card shop unaccompanied to get me a Christmas card. He has managed to come out with a card minus the envelope. He asked me if I could bring an envelope from work to put it in. Believe me you would not want a Christmas card in an envelope from where I work :rotfl:

   well at least he bought you a card I suppose :rotfl:.

I hope you manage to fit some rest into your busy schedule today.

On the plus side it's my last "proper" full week at work this coming week until 2019 :) Next week I'm in Birmingham Wednesday and working at home Thursday. The following week I've got Friday off to meet friends for lunch. The week after that I'm on half a day Friday to meet friends for lunch. The week after that I break up on the Friday lunchtime for Christmas :) Just remind me never to take Mr SA into town on a Sunday near Christmas again, total nightmare

    That's Monday done :)

I wasn't exactly feeling enthusiastic when the alarm went off at 04.45 this morning. Not helped by the fact that the mild November we've been having so far had turned into proper November weather overnight :(

Caught Mr SA trying to steal the envelopes from the Christmas cards I've bought for the GKs  Did he really think he'd get away with it! He ended up just handing me the cards - one from him and one from the dog. Unbelievably he's bought exactly the same card from the dog to me as I've bought for him from me :rotfl:

His free prescriptions run out at the end of next month so I've filled in a form from the doctors ticking the box saying his physical disabilities mean he can't go out unaccompanied, which is true really. The GP signs it and sends it off. If he doesn't qualify then I'll have to get him a season ticket as he has three items a month. It is what it is.

New budget period starts today, yet another attempt at staying on track. Trying a different tactic by spending as little as possible early in the week, pushing the big shop closer to the end of the week. Let's see if that works. I'm getting better at filling in the My Weekly Budget app though.

  • I hope Mr SA gets his free prescriptions renewed. That is funny about the envelopes :rotfl:.

He originally got the prescriptions free for 5 years because of the cancer. Hopefully his disabilities will mean they're still free. He's a bit of an unusual case to say the least.

Just waving and hoping your week is going well.

As a wheelchair user... I now avoid Christmas markets, shops, etc, as I am seen as a nuisance, see mostly people’s bums etc than anything else I do most shopping online, I must admit, I miss it at times being out amongst the Christmas festivities and feeling of isolation from the rituals most people take for granted.
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
