You did really well to wait till April for the beauty goodies, that should be a proper treat.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I like the sound of the herbal tea thing, good way to try new flavours. I still really like MrMs mint green tea.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Morning, happy December, how can it be December already 🎄😮
I was super busy yesterday so didn't update.
WFH today. I will shortly be going out to Aldi.
Payday yesterday and I didn't even have time to look at my bank account on the only day of the month it looks fabulous. Will carve out some time this morning. Fortunately my budgeting spreadsheet is constantly being updated, I have a separate tab for payday and know where every penny is going beforehand so it doesn't take me long.
BIL had his bowel removed yesterday to clear out the last of his bowel cancer. Not heard how it went yet. He's been having treatment for the best part of the year but it couldn't quite get the last bit hence the op.
Mr SA's scooter was picked up for repair Tuesday night and returned last night. The shop have warned him that the insurers are questioning his suitability to be driving the scooter after so many repairs so he needs to be very careful or he'll get it taken off him.
We went to see a local high street's Christmas lights switch on last night. It was really busy though and it wasn't the best place for Mr SA's scooter. The dog attracted too much attention from people which she hated, I had to keep warning people not to touch her as she doesn't trust strangers and can snap. Yes she did look super cute in her bright orange puffa coat but, as I kept telling people, she's not as cute as she looks.
I'm still ploughing on with putting up the Christmas decorations bit by bit. I don't like too much clutter so I'm not putting everything up. I've got Mr SA a biscuit advent calendar from M&S, he makes a right mess of advent calendars, he doesn't open them carefully and doesn't look at the dates so he often gets confused whether he's actually opened that day's or not 🙄
I must remember to write out Christmas cards for the friends I'm meeting tomorrow, that will save me 3 stamps 😆 Just remembered one of them has a birthday over Christmas too so that's another card.

Would a lower powered scooter work for Mr SA? That's assuming they come in different capacities. Or would he try to get it to do things it couldn't and still sabotage his insurability?
You must be torn between him having a scooter or not: either way there is a cost.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

@Cherryfudge when his 2 years lease is up on this one, he's going to swap to a smaller one which will be lower power. He drove me mad the few days he was without a scooter a couple of weeks ago so I'd rather he have one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I imagine if he were scooter-less, things would be a lot harder for you.
I'm glad he can switch to something less powerful, though - anything that gives trees, uneven pavements, pedestrians etc. more time to get out of the way, and gives him more processing time - and hopefully leaves you less to worry about.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Have you ever driven one? I have & unless it actually has a brake, rather than being supposed to stop when you stop the power, they are a nightmare. Whilst I never ran anyone down, I did go into a few tables in the club because I was either 2 feet away & couldn't hear what anyone was saying or I hit the table. If I ever need one as a permenant thing it will have to have brakes like a push bike has. An accident waiting to happen as I am sure SA knows.
