Beanie I went on a crochet course to do this particular stitch about a month  ago. I’ve been doing it since then but I’ve also done a couple of children’s cardigans and not really counted the hours on it. Just got the tassels to do. If I kept at it I could probably do it within a week…..but I usually have a few projects on the go (not all get finished 🤫)

That's Monday done. Worked in the office this morning, left at lunchtime to go and have my flu jab then back home to finish off the day. I've now booked next Monday off as well as this Friday so a nice 4 day weekend to look forward to.

Finances have been done, have sent an oddment of £5.21 to the Christmas pot, cleared the credit card balance and sent another £220 to the regular saver, so that's the full amount of £500 sent this month.

Today is NSD 3 of October.

Exercise is walking to/from work, just short of 17,000 steps, should finish the day on 20,000. Also going to do a yoga session later.

Tonight's dinner is leftover veg curry from Saturday so just needs heating up. The plan for this week is to eat out of stocks as much as possible.

I'm going to make a list of all the jobs I want to do around the house, decluttering, etc so I can crack on with them this weekend, I don't want to waste my time off. I think this weekend I knew I had lots to do, plus I've been really busy at work, I just felt overwhelmed by it all. It doesn't help when I have to do everything on my own then Mr SA adds to the work by making a mess!

@Sun_Addict, If I feel overwhelmed by loads of stuff which needs doing, I just write down 3 initial priority jobs & start those. This technique is that you may only write another task on the list as you cross one off, so there are never more than 3 tasks on the list at a time. It's surprising how much you can get through.

I like that idea. I could have a master list and keep pulling the tasks from that 😃

It's worth trying. It can be daunting when you're looking at a list with 46 things on it. The '3-things' list makes it feel more manageable & I find I actually get on a roll with the Task, Cross-off, Write down another, Repeat.
If it doesn't work for you, you don't need ever to do it again, but it just might.

    Morning, happy Tuesday.

WFH today, it was nice to take my time this morning with a coffee reading my book.

Mr M shopping arriving later this morning. One item missing - cat food which is the thing I most desperately needed so will have to go out and buy some, they are down to their last sachet! If I wait until after work I can nip down to Lidl as they like the premium cat food from there.

Will make a start on the enormous to do list today, write things down as I think of them. A lot of it is things to do as and when like sorting out cupboards but if it's not written down I'll forget to do it.

Exercise goal for today is 15,000 steps, a lunchtime live bums & tums session and live resistance bands tonight.

Today's dinner is a portion of roast veg gnocchi from the freezer. Mr SA is having slow cooker chicken stew.

  • They seem to know exactly which thing we need the most and then not send it! I buy pet food in bulk now and always have a large stock, but that comes from my younger very poor years when my layabout ex would spend everything on cigarettes and booze and I’d be scrabbling for cat food and toilet paper (yes, I also have a tp mountain now 😁).

I’ve had quite a productive day today both work and home wise. This makes me feel a lot better. I managed to tick a big job off the list too - sorting out my toiletry stash and listing what I’ve got. It’s fair to say I won’t need anything for a very long time.

Went to Lidl after work and bought 4 boxes of the cat food they like. They like it a bit too much as I’ve topped their dishes up 3 times since I got back. I also picked up a couple of trays of winter pansies for the patio pots so have created myself another job.

That’s Wednesday well and truly done. Was in the office today, did a full day again. It was really busy and I couldn’t get my usual desk despite arriving at 7.30 😭 I ended up sitting with a load of people I don’t know. There was a samosa sale at lunchtime in aid of a cancer charity in memory of a colleague who sadly passed away and the queue was horrendous. I work somewhere where everyone is obsessed with samosas! I did manage to get a couple eventually, proper huge Indian restaurant samosas 😋 I ate one for my lunch and took the other one home for Mr SA.

The final WW live FitSteps class was today ☹️ However the instructor has set up her own sessions for those who want them at £2.50 per class. I’ve enjoyed this class so much I think I might take her up on this.

So exercise wise I’ve done 27,000 steps today which includes walking to/from work and the FitSteps class.

Tonight’s dinner was something quick and simple - scampi, wedges and lots of veg.

My coat from Lighthouse arrived today, I’m really pleased with it. It’s just what I need for walking to work. The test will be when it rains.
