  • Puts everything into perspective, just heard the very sad news that Deborah James aka Bowel Babe has lost her brave fight. Followed her on Instagram for a while now, such an amazing lady and just 40 years old. So sad.
Just saw that on FB and you are completely right. Puts everything into perspective.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Morning, happy hump day. After a rainy night the sun is out.

WFH again today. Didn't wake up until after 6am so good job I'm not in the office.

Currently have a colour on my hair. They didn't have my usual medium blonde shade so picked up a golden blonde instead. My natural hair colour is golden blonde so it shouldn't look much different. Saves me a lot of money and time at the hairdressers and I'm happy with the results now I've got the knack.

Whether or not today is NSD 11/12 hinges on if I go to the friends of the park monthly meeting at the pub tonight. I'm undecided at the moment. I feel a bit mean sitting there without a drink with it being in a pub.

Today's exercise will be dog walking at lunchtime and FitSteps at 6pm.

I need to take a portion of veggie curry out of the freezer for tonight's dinner. Something quick to have if I decide to go to the meeting.

Must give the bathroom a good clean today too.

At the moment, I think I will go to the meeting. I didn't go to the last one and this one sounds quite interesting looking at the agenda. It's only for an hour. If I go I'll buy a drink so will scupper my planned NSD. I'm not going to hit target now anyway as we will need bread tomorrow. It's been difficult this month as I've had unexpected spends on planned no spend days.

Finally, after many phone calls, Mr SA has got his meds. What a nightmare! I think I'll stop using the local chemists and go back to online delivery. DD gets her medication delivered through the post and she uses the same GP as us. I'll ask her which company she uses, I've never heard her complain about not getting hers on time (she has epilepsy).

I’d go to the meeting. That’s exactly why I stopped doing the NSDs and i tally my spends as I go along now. An outing meeting people and drink seems more important to me than a NSD for you.
It sounds as if it’s the chemist rather than your GP since your dd doesn’t have any problems. Definitely worth trying the same company she has.

I didn’t make it to the meeting. Mr SA had a very very unpleasant accident and I had to clear it up. By this time I finished cleaning up the meeting start time had well passed and I wasn’t exactly in the right frame of mind either. They weren’t expecting me so not a problem. Where do I hand in my resignation as carer I’ve had enough 😩

On the plus side I managed NSD 11/12 but definitely won’t hit target tomorrow as we’re almost out of bread.

Also on the plus side I really enjoyed FitSteps earlier, it was a Pride special with lots of cheesy disco tunes, loved it. She’s a fantastic instructor, the £6.95 a month I pay for the WW app is worth every penny.
