Offices don’t seem to allow people their own space now. When I was in an office we had a set desk and own lockable drawers, so it was much easier. Now our offices are all hot desks and nowhere to store anything 😖 I couldn’t work without my coffee! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Now we're hybrid working and installed in the new building we no longer have a set desk. There are lots of different seating areas depending on what your task is. I must admit I tend to pick the same desk every time I'm in the office when I could technically sit anywhere I liked in the building. I've even sat in the on site coffee shop and worked the first hour before finding a proper desk.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Morning, happy Tuesday.
WFH today.
Mr M online order has been delivered and put away. No missing items or subs. I will need to pop out later to Savers as I need a few bits from there.
I also yet again need to sort out Mr SA's prescription as his meds run out today. I phoned the chemists yesterday and they said the doctors haven't sent them through. I tried ringing the doctors but was number 4 in the queue for 30 minutes so gave up! I'm getting really fed up of having to chase up his meds every 4 weeks, it's ridiculous. I thought it was all sorted last week when he had a meds review over the phone!
Exercise today will be walking plus I'm at a WW virtual FitSteps tone class at lunchtime and then again after work. The lady who does the bums and tums and resistance bands on Tuesdays is on holiday this week.
Just realised this time next week the painter starts the hall/stairs/landing and I haven't got the paint yet! Eek!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Getting meds is a constant faff. I order mine via patient access website (the only way my GP will do them) but even then you have to order them when they say you can or they are ignored. I tried ordering early one Christmas trying to help them and ended up with none for 48hours and dont get me started on the pharmacy. A weeks notice in not always enough for them to dispense them. Last month one med was missed entirely. It was apparently my fault for not checking them before I left the pharmacy. I am due to collect today so I will see what they have mangaged to get wrong this month.

We have the same faff with the other half's blood pressure medication every four weeks. It's a joke.
He has tried to order them early this time as we are away next week. He almost has enough to cover the week off but not quite.
He has placed the order but we will see tomorrow I think whether the order has arrived at the chemists or not!!2 -
I have been using the NHS app to order my prescriptions and it works well.I saw the link to prescriptions when I looked at my covid pass, have a nominated pharmacy and just click a button. Normally pick up 2 days after. Not sure if other surgeries use it though.3

I got through to the doctors and they are asking the prescriptions team to call me back as a matter of urgency, that was about 6 hours ago! Just looking at the comments above makes me wonder why GP surgeries and chemists think it's ok to provide such a shoddy service.
Just shows how you have to shop around. I'd seen the cabinet I wanted on eBay, measurements perfect for my needs and the space. Something made me double check Amazon first and the exact same cabinet was over £20 cheaper. It's solid wood, fully assembled and the same shade of light oak as the tops of the other bedroom furniture so will match perfectly. It's got a little cupboard at the bottom, two small drawers and two shelves. It should be here at the weekend.
Money-wise, my Regular Saver matures on Thursday. The bank will automatically renew the account for another year but the interest rate is only 1.25% whereas my other Regular Saver with the Coventry is 1.85%. I've cancelled the standing order so no further money can go out as I think I'm better off with the Coventry one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
