Happy Wednesday. Could you find a similar island from somewhere else?

No it’s a particular one I want. Other places are more expensive and not what I’m looking for.

Lovely @Sun_Addict! The world is conspiring to keep your money unspent; sounds like it could be in at the end of the summer?  Always read your diary and I should comment more often as am in awe of everything you do.  Love Humdinger xx

I got fed up with trying to deal with them & took back control.  Don't know if you can do that, it depends how they work.  I have a 27 day reminder to order prescriptions.  My doctors have a special phone line for ordering.  It used to work 24/7 but now only 8am Mon to 5 pm Fri, who on earth knows why that is.  I mean we all know they aren't going to be actually producing prescriptions over the weekend anyway.  They send the prescription direct to your pharmacy of choice & they text when prescription is ready.  The 27 days gives us a little leeway.
Yes it is one more thing for you to remember, but you are having to do that anyway because they are letting you down.

I had changed to online Lloyds Pharmacy because of the poor service but the chemist phoned me asking to change back as he needed the business. He said he would offer us the same delivery service. It was great for the first few months but seems to be failing now and I'm having to chase them up every months. I prefer to have it delivered as they only allow 2 people at a time in the shop despite restrictions being lifted, there is always a queue outside and they are painfully slow. The doctors only have one phone line and that's either engaged or you are number 2 in the queue for ages. They've both used Covid as an excuse for very poor customer service.

I stopped using the pharmacy nearest the doctors because basically I couldn't trust them to get things right & now use Tescos instore one.  Longer opening hours, still expect you to space, but most of the time no queue.
Another reason for not trusting the local pharmacy - I had a one off prescription & came out of the doctors & thought why do a 6 mile round trip when I'm already here..  They only stole me back from Tescos.  So if the docs give me a prescription now I have no choice other than the drive.
