  • @Sun_Addict I think when the weather's wet and cold, animals always seem to be starving hungry. My three are in training for the pet food Olympics...🙄

Bet Mr SA thinks he looks fab 👍
Cant say I blame ds and gks not venturing out as there’s no knowing what obstacles they’d have encountered 😳

Tried to take the dog for a walk round the block and had to drag her, she wouldn’t budge the little so and so. The minute we turned around she headed straight for the park excitedly. So she won and we went on the park. It was an absolute mud bath. She really enjoyed it, jumping in puddles and running about. Had to put her straight in the bath when we got back, she was covered in mud from head to toe.

Cleaned out the bedroom cupboard where the kitten had sprayed and closed the door so she couldn’t get back in. A bit later wondered where she was - yes she’d somehow managed to get herself shut in there 🤦‍♀️

Mr SA has managed to get blood on the duvet cover I only changed yesterday. He’d tried to cut his toenails with a huge pair of scissors and cut his toe in the process 😩 I bought him some proper clippers so why he didn’t use them I don’t know. I won’t cut his toenails, I can’t touch feet 🤮 I’m considering getting a mobile foot person to come and see to his feet, there’s one locally.

Have done next week’s meal plan. I’m using my Joe Wicks veggie cookbook for a couple of recipes.

Monday - veg lasagne (from the freezer) and salad (using up the last of the salad)
Tuesday - Rosie’s Beautiful Bolognaise from Joe Wicks veggie cookbook (will use up some of the dried green lentils, must remember to soak them for 12 hours)
Wednesday - salmon with honey and mustard dressing and veg
Thursday - veg chilli (from the freezer) and rice
Friday - garlic and herb yellowfin sole with veg
Saturday - chickpea, tomato and spinach curry (from the Joe Wicks veggie cookbook)
Sunday - vegan slow cooker stew with herb dumplings (an old favourite recipe)

Making a split pea soup for work day lunches to use up the out of date split peas.

I don’t have anything exciting for breakfast usually a slice of dry toast, crumpet or whole meal muffin - I don’t like butter or margarine so eat them dry.

Watching another live WW cook along at 6pm.

It’s all quiet here as Mr SA has gone back to bed to watch an ancient film.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Forgot to say I finished reading The Village Affair by Rebecca Shaw yesterday, it was ok, very light reading. Started reading Daughter by Jane Shemilt and it’s brilliant already just a few chapters in. Another one that’s been on my shelf for ages.

Makes sense to get somebody in to sort Mr SA feet for him. He will do himself a mischief left to his own devices 😳
The meal plan sounds lovely again except the dry toast….I’d have to have something on it. I’ve taken a bit of a shine to chocolate spread and banana as a treat recently 😁

  • My dog could possibly be part pig…she loves rolling in mud and swimming. I understand the swimming as labs are bread to retrieve things from water too, but no idea where the love of mud comes from 🤣
I also agree, a mobile foot person would be a billion times better than touching mens feet 😖

Our dog does his best to walk around puddles.

Although sometimes he will catch us out and walk straight through the middle of one. Usually when we don't have his Mud Daddy in the car to wash him off!

Oh and I'm not a feet person either. I don't like cutting my own toe nails. Certainly could do someone else's 🤮
