Sorry to hear about the job, @Sun_Addict. It does sound as though you acquitted yourself well in the interview though, so it must have been a strong field of candidates. Have a think about the question for which you scored a 7 & think whether there is anything you can apply from the way you tackled it to answering questions generally. Disappointing, yes, but it doesn't sound like your performance was anything to beat yourself up.about.

I've just been out with the dog, sunny but very windy. Looks like it's going to get worse as the day goes on so wanted to go out while I had the chance.

My line manager thinks my scores were really good and is sorting out some opportunities for me to help with future interviews. I'm still unsure what to do about the level move I was offered as it might not offer any opportunities to develop. It would be working for someone who is doing the role at the higher level I'm trying to get and what I don't want is to be doing lesser work eg general niff naff she doesn't want to deal with. The role I'm in at the moment I'm pretty much my own boss and left to get on with things without any interference. So ultimately I'm probably better off staying where I am if I want to progress. I'm not applying for anything else until I have some good solid evidence to talk about at interviews. Gosh I'll be so glad when I'm retired and don't have to worry about this sort of thing 😆

Today will be NSD 6/12. The Lanzarote balance went out yesterday so the holiday pot will be taking a hit.

Sorry your interview didnt get the result you wanted. It sounds as though you acquitted yourself well so dont give up I am sure you will succeed.

@Sun_Addict how annoying! They don't know what they are missing! Sounds like you have lots if support and an interesting job where you are but you will reach the right decision.   Good news re your holiday.  You are fab; I always read but don't always comment.   Keep going love Humdinger xx

Surprisingly it isn't too windy where our offices are in Sheffield. Not sure if we are sheltered from it or if the storm just hasn't reached this far North.

My back garden is currently being battered by the storm, chairs and plant pots being blown all over, fed up of going out and picking them back up. It's worse at the back because we're on top of a hill with nothing behind us to act as a wind break.

Our local big Mr T has had to shut because some of the roof has blown off .

Yes, our county has had a rough afternoon, @Sun_Addict, but so far, the only damage here is that my rustic sweet pea teepee has blown to pieces. I'm fine with that as it needed repairing anyway. A few pots & stuff blown around the garden but they can wait till the weekend. Chimney liner rattling fit to bust & conservatory roof creaking ominously but it will hopefully finish passing over us soon & be off towards the North Sea.

I'm sorry your interview didn't win, SA. It really sounds as though they may have had an internal candidate to have exceeded your score, but the fact you've done so well means there might be another with your name on it.

Your holiday is definitely getting closer now!
