I've just finished The Man I Think I Know by Mike Gayle. The main character has an acquired brain injury. I thought it was a good story and sensitively written.I couldn't touch someone else's feet either ... reminds me I need to find a chiropodist for my dad. I dread to think what his feet are like 🤢3

Happy Monday. That book sounds very interesting @Blackcats.I’m not having a great morning so far.Mr SA shook me awake at midnight to tell me he’d had an accident downstairs that needed clearing up. OMG what a mess and the smell 🤢 I had to throw a cushion and his clothes away they were beyond washing. Cleared up as much as I could but had to finish it off this morning.
The wind has blown a fence panel in the drive down. It was about to blow onto the pavement so had to drag it back into the drive, really struggled it was so heavy. My work internet connection keeps coming and going which is very annoying. I have a meeting in a bit where I’m taking minutes so that’s going to be fun 😩
On the plus side it will be NSD 8/12.Also on the plus side no interviews or waiting for outcomes of interviews this week thank goodness.Sadly it’s my last week of full time WFH, next week we move to a hybrid working pattern. It will take some getting used to after 2 years.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Oh no. What a terrible night.
Hope you have a quiet day today.4 -

Remember, the out of date lentils may need longer soaking.
I made a chickpea curry on Saturday that was delicious - and added spinach because it looked uniformly brown: it was delicious and will become a regular meal. I serve it with cauli-rice (blitz half a cauli in the food processor). Which reminds me, I really need a new food processor, as I struggle to get the lid of this one - and ended up with cauli rice all over the show on Saturday (I swore... and if you knew me IRL, you'd know that I rarely do! I think I used a year's worth of sweariness up.
Chiropody - it's worth asking if this can be provided, Mr SA must surely be entitled to it.What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?5 -
I'm going to soak the green lentils now so it will be well over 12 hours, thanks for the tip @satchmo1. Also thanks for the chiropody tip I'll ring the doctors to see if he can get it done on the NHS before I book anything.
Mr SA has now sprung it on me he has a hospital appointment on Thursday, he got the reminder by phone message today. Nice of them to let me know as the one who has to take time off work to accompany him! Fortunately I don't have anything in my work calendar on Thursday.
Took the dog for a long walk at lunchtime but got rather windswept to say the least, it certainly blew away the cobwebs. Noticed a few fences down locally so not just ours. Managed to get some washing pegged out as it's been sunny most of the day.
Got a WW live HIIT class at 5.30. Once I'm back in the office I'm going to make sure I can still fit in these live sessions as I'm really enjoying them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Mr SA is probably entitled to free NHS podiatry but - as is the case in Scotland- there may be no room for him on the podiatry list because people with diabetes are taking up all the spaces. Worth checking locally with GP surgery. Sometimes it's simpler to find a good podiatrist who will visit - and cough up the £35 to £40 per visit.Credit card One :£926.60( Oct 21 )(Nov 21 vet bill disaster), £999(Jan 22), £974(Feb 22)

Hi, I have Mr T.cat medical appointments reminders come to my phone!. Sorry to read the midnight shake to sort out accidents. I always start by light a nice smelling candle, sniff some vic., double bin bag and cleaning equipment that can be thrown away. If clothes towels can not be cleaned by double washing machine wash . Then they go in double bin bag! Hubby has clusters of accidents no rhyme or reason. Also added to catheter problems involving bleeding and large cuts, need to change to pubic bag! District nurse so concerned she took photos and went to show gp. Our gp is challenging to see/getting passed receptionist. Appointment is scheduled October 2022! Gentle hugs, and a box of fizz xx Andrea5

@Sun_Addict. I paid £25 quid recently to have a poditrist to visit.
Worth it's weight in gold for me.
