Meal plan sounds tasty as usual👍
It’s quite sweet that Mr SA wants to buy flowers for you…..even if he wants them from the most expensive shop 😳 I remember when the children were younger and we were particularly broke and Dh came in with some beautiful flowers…..turns out the Gardner at work gave them to him 😂😂 he has improved since he has got older…..but only supermarket ones. That said they do some beautiful flowers in Morrison’s 😁January spends - £587.586 -
Hi, Re water Bill, if you contact your local water authority. Ask to be put on the vulnerable scheme as you have to do more washing with Mr SA accidents. I am on our local with Anglian water £25 a month. Andrea Tuna

Saved a bit of money today by deciding not to book the airport lounge for the Lanzarote trip. It’s £30 each, could get 10% off via Holid@y Extras but still £27 each. I looked at the afternoon menu and it’s just pasta and pies. I booked in flight meals so we’d only be needing a snack. I think it would be a lot cheaper just to go for a drink and snack pre flight in the airport bar. The lounge is great for early morning flights as I set Mr SA up in there with unlimited coffee, bacon rolls and a paper then go for a wander around duty free before coming back and relaxing with a glass of bubbly. I hate sitting still in airports as I’m aware I’m going to be sitting for a few hours travelling, I’ve usually done my daily step count before I board the plane 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Even if not on the vulnerable scheme with respect to the money side, it may be worth going on the vulnerable scheme so that you get notified if they are going to be doing anything locally. I did & I had an email telling me when the water was going off & just as important one to say everything should be normal contact **** if anything not right. The difference was that a few months before we had a flyer through the door saying the water was going off, which we also had next time.. The water didn't go off the first time so you are left wondering if they will do it tomorrow instead. Not so the second time as it is sent to YOU, not every road in the vicinity.

I’ll have a look at that, thank you @badmemory.Started to make my veggie lasagne, which I was originally going to make with Quorn mince but remembered I used it to make the veggie chilli earlier in the week so was substituting it with a tin of green lentils. Went to get the green lentils only to find I didn’t have any then remembered I was going to use dried green lentils that I was meant to be soaking overnight 🤦♀️ Had to run out to the local shop to get some Quorn mince. Why didn’t I discover this earlier when we went to Mr T. Mental note to always make sure I have an emergency bag of Quorn and tin of green lentils in stock.Anyway all’s well that ends well and the lasagne is assembled ready for cooking.Got back from the shop then took the dog for a run on the park so she’s now covered in mud but enjoyed herself.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Most suppliers including the LA, gas electric phone have lists of the vulnerable. And Mr SA is vulnerable, I used to think that I'm never going that route, I may be in my 70s but how dare they. Now - I'll take any advantage I can get!

Totally agree badmemory. My Mum was listed as vulnerable with utility companies and I found them very helpful when there was a problem, coming out quickly to help. Mr SA is vulnerable too and it might bring peace of mind to you SA knowing he ranks as a priority.6

He’s listed as a priority customer with the BG Homecare and also priority patient at the GP so it’s worth looking at the other things. In money news I’ve won a Lucky Dip on my one line a week Lottery ticket and have £4.13 TCB payout. I don’t think I’ll be giving up the day job yet 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
