Ah. I expect our water bill will be going up a similar amount then, @Sun_Addict, as we are pretty near to you as the crow flies. Until our bill arrives, I'm going to assume a similar rise.

Can't believe I forgot to buy the annual travel insurance so that has been purchased today. Usually buy it as soon as I book but it has slipped my attention. Not bad at £62.58 for the both of us for the year and it's very good cover to include Covid and Mr SA's medical conditions.

Sent another £100 to the holiday pot so that now stands at £2171. That amount will go down shortly as the balance is due next week.

Sent some oddments to the Christmas pot, now at £119.88.

An additional positive would be that it won't need to be renewed for another year so you've avoided paying for however long you weren't insured.

Also well done for fitting it in on a day when you already have some spends.

co i g out of lurkdom, to say howe much  enjoy your thread (have read it all), andy how well you do.   would you mind sharing the company you got your annual policy with?  i just paid 93 for mine with no health issues, a couple of years older than you.  good covid cover, but need to get it for dh too.

I got ours via Money Supermarket and went with Insure For. I could’ve got it cheaper but went for the middle policy as there was better cover for personal money as we usually to take cash and put it in the safe. At one stage I couldn’t get annual cover for Mr SA but now he’s over 5 years cancer free they class him as cured. I still declare it though to be on the safe side plus his brain injury and disabilities.

After catching the kitten with a pack of sausages earlier in the week, today I caught her with a bag of bread rolls. They were on the kitchen worktop and I caught her trying to drag them off with her teeth, they were twice the size of her 🤣

Morning, happy Saturday 🥂

The cats got me up this morning, they kept jumping on the bed and upsetting the dog so I got up. I made them wait for their food until I’d had a shower though. 

Already done one MSE thing this morning and that’s change the delivery date of my Mr M order to 12 hours earlier to qualify for £15 off. So it’s coming at 6pm Monday night instead of 6am Tuesday morning. I’ve had to pay £4.50 for delivery as my delivery pass is for Tuesday to Thursday but I’m still saving £10.50. The wine I really like was 2 for £10 for ages then went back up to the original price of £7.25 😢Pleased to see it’s now on 3 for £15, which is bizarre but takes it back to £5 a bottle then I get 10% off courtesy of DD’s discount. It’s a lovely wine too, very smooth 🍷

I’m going out to the shops shortly only for a few bits. Might go to the big Mr T to get some steps in. We will need to take the dog out at some stage so might take her to the further away park this afternoon. I need to do some cleaning/tidying too.

Dinner tonight is veggie burger in a flatbread with Cajun wedges and salad. Mr SA is having beef quarter pounder in a normal burger bun. Nothing foreign like flatbread for him 😆
