You need the app to scan the Lidl plus card at the checkout and it records your spends. When you’ve spent £100 you get £2 off then £10 for £200. That’s in a month. They also send you vouchers for money off certain things. Worth doing if you shop in there.

It's only saved me £6.70 a month but any saving is better than nothing.
£120.60 over the life of the deal, so not inconsiderable!

    Great veg box too. :)

    Morning, happy Friday 😎

It will be NSD 12/15 today.

The cats are tearing around the house this morning, there is a fair bit of spitting and grumbling going on. They sound like a herd of elephants thundering about.

Today's exercise will be another long walk with the dog at lunchtime, a short strength training session, a short stretching session and ab crunches and a plank every time I get the chance (if I remember 😆)

Work wise I have a shortish meeting this morning then the rest of the day I plan to spend on catching up admin type things. Friday is usually fairly quiet (famous last words).

Tonight's dinner is lightly dusted lemon and parsley yellow fin sole with lots of veg. I've got the final portion of the pearl barley stew for lunch, it's lasted me all week and was delicious so haven't got fed up of the same thing every lunchtime. Split peas and paella rice are on the hit list next week to use up, although I think there's only one portion of each so won't be too onerous a task.

Morning, @Sun_Addict - Just popping by to say that phoning VM is also very much on Mr F's list, as we also received notification of their coming price rises just as we're out of contact. We don't have any of their TV packages or land-line, just broadband, so he's hoping to get at least some reduction. I've told him about your success with this, so we'll see how it goes.

Definitely worth a try. Getting ours down to just broadband is my goal. We never use the landline. I don’t watch any of the VM channels but Mr SA does. Our problem is we don’t have a TV aerial so rely on the VM box. It’s a smart TV and we could in theory watch some channels online. I have 18 months to come up with a viable solution. I’ve had quotes for an aerial and the price was extortionate.

Another phone call out of the blue. BG just called to say they're coming to service my boiler this morning. I thought I'd booked them in but couldn't remember when, thought it was next month. So glad my boiler is relatively new (6 years old) as they always used to moan about my old boiler not meeting current regulations.

Mr SA has started off on another pester, this time it’s walking poles 🤦‍♀️ He wanted to go in town tomorrow to get some, after the ordeal last time we went not a chance of that happening. He’s already going on and on and on about them so looks like I’m in for a fun evening 😬
